@TSNSimmer There are no people, Simmer. That street belongs to the people of Canada. All I see is desolation.

@ezralevant Maybe next time crop out Brian's name - assuming he's the source. The last thing you want to do is burn the whistleblower.

1. This is the most scandalous story of the trucker rebellion.
A WhatsApp chat group of Mounties boasting about the cruelty & violence they plan to use against peaceful protesters, and laughing at injuries done to civilians.
This was leaked by the one honest cop still in there.

@kfmhmj @nationalpost I, for one, welcome our new trucker overlords. 😁
English

@nationalpost Our capital city has been Captured by truckers...by the rules of war...they have captured Canada! We are governed by truckers. So much for freedom...

I submitted a request for @Twitter verification for exactly 2 reasons only: 1) To protect against impersonating accounts, and 2) To dilute the from the rampant madness coming from too much of the "blue checkmark" crowd. I think it's time, @TwitterSupport, despite the "politics"✌️

@TPostMillennial I live in Ottawa and the truckers are welcome to stay as long as it takes. I would like all those businesses to reopen as well. So end the mandates.

@EvanLSolomon This sort of thing happens at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier all too often. It even happens on Canada Day and it's almost always driven by ignorance, not malice. But you know that. You're engaged in partisan politics, not journalism.
English

@HockeyScanner Cuz vaccines work! Clearly, if they hadn't taken their shots, half of these elite athletes would be dead.

There it is. Chabot, Tierney and Sanford placed in Covid protocols. Nearly the entire roster has tested positive this season.
Sens Communications@Media_Sens
Roster update: The #Sens have placed defenceman Thomas Chabot and forwards Zach Sanford and Chris Tierney in the NHL's covid-19 protocol. Subsequently, the #Sens have recalled defenceman Michael Del Zotto (to roster) and forward Scott Sabourin (to taxi) from @BellevilleSens.

@anthonyfurey Don't get too excited. We're just enjoying the post-vax antibody surge (Ontario was late to the game compared to UK/US/etc.). Let's see how we're doing in Feb/March when the vaccines start to wear out...
English

@brianlilley @fordnation I'm a life-long conservative but I'll spoil my ballot before I vote for these cowards again.
English

As I have been saying for a month and reported again on the weekend, Ontario students aren’t heading back for in-person learning. Now Premier @fordnation has made it official. #onpoli #onted

Hospital data from Sweden, where schools stayed open, shows #Covid caused no deaths in children - and teachers were 57% LESS likely to need intensive care for Covid than other working adults. Yes, less likely.
We are destroying our kids FOR NOTHING.

Here is a new open letter from a group of infectious diseases specialists and paediatricians calling on the Ontario government to re-open schools on Monday: nationalpost.com/opinion/opinio…

@frame_perfects @ottawahealth That's actually not true. Ottawa Health's COVID19 screening tool for school kids will send you for a test if your child has only a runny nose. Go ahead, try it: secureforms.ottawapublichealth.ca/School-Health-…
English

@pabloniusPrime @ottawahealth You’re responding to a tweet where they specifically say to only get tested if you have the symptoms, among other things. Sniffles are one symptom, there are several others you need before you should consider testing.
English

@ottawahealth You're doing less than 2000 tests / day. Unless you change your policies or increase your testing by a factor of 10, there is no way you'll be able to keep up with demand. All those school kids with common colds are going to overwhelm the system.
English

@ottawahealth There are ~100K school age kids in Ottawa who will get 6-12 colds/year. If u insist on them getting a test every time they have the sniffles, u will need 1 million tests. You're not even close.
