@DomizilPlus @elonmusk Being a citizen of EU I don't want UA to become a member. EU taxpayers will only need to send more money to UA. Totally support piece in the region but I don't see any reason they should be getting exceptions.

Here is a slightly different peace formula: UA - open the door to the EU; don't close it never - they wanted this for years - EU membership in just 2-3 years maximum (as an exception) - all existing migrants/refugees are free to stay in Europe - Russian funds (100s billion) as compensation - enough land even after the loss of territories, given that the population density in the UA is low RU - whatever territory is taken can remain the Russian land - feel free to take care of them - no sanctions = villas and yachts are back (important for the rich and powerful and sanctioned) - a couple of 100s billion as retribution is not too much - they still feel successful ;-) EU - well-educated UA labor force - fresh blood - same culture, same religion USA - no more expenses - investment/contract opportunities (given the UA goodwill towards the USA) - all weapons are already field-tested UN - a peace-keeping mission in the UA that brings money - typically, soldiers come from the Global South (Argentina, Mexico, Africa, etc.), should be well-accepted China - safe transport corridor again - give them a chance to upgrade the infrastructure, e.g. railways Turkey - the country that can propose it

Ukraine-Russia Peace: - Redo elections of annexed regions under UN supervision. Russia leaves if that is will of the people. - Crimea formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev’s mistake). - Water supply to Crimea assured. - Ukraine remains neutral.
