Bend2's ecosystem is growing at an accelerating rate, as a fleet of agents reimplement basically everything ever made in it, while also proving it is all correct. In the last few hours, 14k lines were added. I haven't read any of these lines, and I trust it all

After a month of development, I have finally finished the most awesome feature Karumi has. We do not do tasks that take more than one day to be done. So when the task is that complex and could take a lot of time, I'm just doing it a bit every day. 30 days left

Announcing Hermes-node Hermes can now run as a standalone CLI with Node.js-compatible APIs - no C++ embedding required. Technically, hermes-node is a Node.js API compatibility layer for Hermes. It ports Node's native bindings (fs, net, http, child_process, etc.) to Node-API and reuses Node's original lib/*.js files, allowing standard Node.js programs to run on Hermes instead of V8. It vendors libuv, c-ares, llhttp, Ada, simdutf, etc to provide the same networking and I/O stack as Node, and runs as a standalone CLI binary. In this demo: - REPL with tab completion - TypeScript HTTP server using http, fs, and path - Type annotations stripped natively by the parser — no transpiler, not even a built-in one. This is still a work in progress, though surprisingly functional. More Node modules coming, source will be published soon.

@SaffronOlive That's...a drop in the bucket for any software company. Literally less than the size of hosting a 1080p 10 minute video per year.

Wizards never ending war on data continues. This seems pretty bad, especially for older formats that are primarily playing on MTGO. I also think it potentially leads to more calls for bannings since less decklists likely leads to a less diverse looking meta. mtgo.com/news/mtgo021726

Realistic take from an AI Maximalist on the energy cost of using AI. Yes, it makes you very productive, but forces you to be very productive all of the time, leading to burnout. Without downtime, even my Opus-driven side-project can take over my life. steve-yegge.medium.com/the-ai-vampire…

@pacoworks @Vultr @Shadow_Official Looks good, but seems excessive for my use case. I need a normal VPS with 16GB RAM and about 8 vCPUs - really nothing exceptional. It's not like I am mining crypto or doing local inference. It literally is just building and running Hermes.

I do not recommend @Vultr. What a disappointment. I rented a 32GB/8vCPUs/640GB instance from them so I can work on Hermes, which is not a huge C++ project. After several days of very moderate usage - again this is just building Hermes and running test - I get this message from them: Based on monitoring results and subsequent analysis, we have determined your CPU resource utilization profile is excessive and causing performance issues which may unfairly affect the population of Vultr subscribers as a whole. Accordingly, we have limited the maximum CPU resources your instances can consume (an account-wide setting). If you are able to reduce the performance impact we have observed, we may be able to adjust the limit or remove it altogether. Not only is that instance rate limited, but all my instances (if I chose to get more) are rate limited, because I dared to build a C++ project. Guess who sill no longer be a customer of @Vultr. This guy!! 😂 If you can recommend a good VPS provider I can use to build Hermes, please LMK.

@JaviTaiyou Turns out it's a Visual Novel style scripting engine to display cutscenes ingame. Probably something to give to the game designer team to work directly with.

I wasn't expecting to spend this evening reverse-engineering a scripting language SEGA used in the 00s, but I'm not complaining either.

Any internet-enabled agent is an attack vector, isn't it?
1Password@1Password

⚠️ AI agent skills are becoming a new attack surface and most teams aren’t prepared. In OpenClaw, “skills” are treated as documentation, but in reality, they can act as installers. And attackers are already exploiting that. @jmeller, VP & Security Strategist @1Password, found that a top-downloaded skill in a popular registry was being used to deliver macOS infostealing malware. This is why the future of agentic AI needs identity and access controls that are time-bound, revocable, and attributable.
