But there are often depressing stories about every healthcare service, so it's important to step back, celebrate the wins and recognize the incredible work done by the entire team. This national thrombectomy data is fantastic 🇮🇪🥳 well done all.

Thrombectomy is only one part of a long chain of stroke care (from prevention to EMTs to ward care and rehab). It's true, there's always more work to do and like everywhere we are often resource limited in many ways.

Interesting reading in today's @noca_irl 2022 National #strokeaudit, especially looking at our stroke thrombectomy data. Our national thrombectomy rate is 9.3% (higher is better, this means more patients with severe strokes are getting this life-changing treatment).
