Fair play. @Scotlandteam were brilliant. Scrum aside, outplayed @EnglandRugby everywhere. Funny how they always look so much better when they are playing England!

@CDFarming Oh I don’t know. £50 for a duck crossing sign. £1200 for a road closure for the contractors to attach it to the post. £200/day for a contractor to install it. x4 for the driver and 2 watchers = £800 £5000 feasibility study and surveys. No wonder councils are broke.

The fact that the Councillor is criticising the fact that there are no ducks around, and not the £7k sign is the reason councils have no money to spend on the things that matter! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@Nigaly @Nick_Wilson3 I think the op was hoping to get paid for standing around on his farm doing nothing. Which is never going to happen of course, unless Rachael in Accounts forces the public sector to start farming to put enough food on the shelves, which now I think about it is maybe a possibility

Is society prepared to pay farmers to sit around like this? There for over half an hour and I counted at least 12 more round the corner. UK is the least productive country in Europe

Due to finish harvest mid afternoon tomorrow @paddytt2, did you want me to send you a pin location for the @Pxfarms flag and champagne treatment or do you find us using @CLAAS_UK connect?

Great visit to @CLAAS_UK, a major local employer, to explore their Apprenticeship Academy - empowering young talent with cutting-edge agricultural skills. Impressed by their state-of-the-art facilities and dedication to advancing farming's future!

@cutlerstom No, we supported the Pancake rally for that. Peter visit was to explain that young Apprentices coming from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland don’t get funding to study an apprenticeship in England (and vice-versa). It’s discriminatory! Franchisors like CLAAS need change!

@paddytt2 did you have the opportunity to explain what political policies can affect farmers investment and the knock on effects to businesses like yours that rely on continued investment on farm? 🙏

Farmers are rallying against Labour's inheritance tax changes. Event organiser Olly Harrison speaks to @danwnews and says it's just not about the money; it's about the farming community and food security. trib.al/EhfzzZW 📺 Sky 501

@ChrisTurves you pay IHT on the value of the land when it's sold. If it's worth £10m, you pay £4m, regardless of how many generations it's been through

OK, here's my APR plan, which will fix *everything*, guaranteed. IHT relief on Agricultural Property [AP] is scrapped. When someone who owns AP dies, there is full IHT due on the value. However, the AP can go onto a register, which means the tax is deferred indefinitely.
