The claim: E85 is India's "cleanest option." The reality: Lifecycle emissions depend entirely on HOW the ethanol is produced. Sugarcane-based ethanol in India has a well-documented water and land-use footprint. "Clean at the tailpipe" and "clean overall" are not the same thing. The government is only telling you about the tailpipe.

@GuptaPragnya Agar woh bap hai tho 1984 mein Rajiv Gandhi 414 seats kya woh Nehru ka Baap Tha kya?
हिन्दी

For those who love playing the “numbers game,” here’s a statistic worth reflecting on:
364, 371, 361.
Those are the Lok Sabha seats won under Jawaharlal Nehru’s leadership in India’s first three general elections.
282, 303, 240.
Those are the corresponding numbers under Narendra Modi across three consecutive elections on grounds of Mandate Theft. Even today his Govt doesn’t stand independently but on crutches.
Numbers alone don’t tell the whole story, but if electoral dominance is the yardstick being used to measure political stature, then history deserves a fair reading. India’s first Prime Minister led his party to three successive mandates that remain among the strongest in the country’s democratic journey.
Political preferences may differ, but facts remain facts. Nation-building is not a relay race where one era can be erased to glorify another. Modern India stands on foundations laid over decades by multiple generations of leaders.
Before dismissing the contributions of those who came before, it helps to remember: history keeps score too.

@chanodiyanikhil @R_N_Vaghani Now calculate the impact - if only petrol is used - because of (a) shortages in supply due to war situation in gulf
(b) impact on price & how much FE will be needed that is saved in the interest of India.
English

@pairamblr @R_N_Vaghani Since you're having trouble understanding basic science and math, here's a clear explanation for you!

English

@chanodiyanikhil @R_N_Vaghani A little education to you, my dear . Pl go thru the following ! ( & let politics and slave mind not destroy learning!)
You are welcome to rebut!

English

@pairamblr @R_N_Vaghani Now let's understand this with mathematics, E20 fuel gives you less mileage so you need more fuel to cover same distance, more E20 fuel is basically more petrol too! And as fresh water supply is already low we might have to import ethanol too if the consumption rises!
English

@sardesairajdeep People do not understand the difference between ELECTED and SELECTED!
Go back to school my dear fellow!!
English

@sardesairajdeep Spot on, Rajdeep. Nehru was PM from Aug 1947, with Patel as Deputy till 1950. Cherry-picking weakens the narrative.
While we’re correcting timelines, what role did Shyama Prasad Mookerjee play in the interim govt & why did he resign from Nehru’s cabinet in 1950?
English

@Pawankhera Nehru was in Jail when British were ruling the country! we know, your owner is trying his best and that is why he travels abroad and seeking help from them! You shld pray that your owner succeed, then, who knows, your dream may come true!! Like they arrested Venezuela President?
English

@venkat_fin9 @narendramodi my child, do u know, by your logic, even you are an adulterated product?? an adulterated product that has a good value by way of contributing to the Nation in double digit % of Income Tax ( even if a cry baby)!! So, adulterated products not to be written off, correct my dear?
English

Congratulations on completing 12 years, Dear @narendramodi Ji.
- From 260 million users of ethanol-adulterated petrol.
English

@DrAMSinghvi Indeed, it's a shame for a apparently a "brilliant Senior Lawyer" like @DrAMSinghvi to unnecessarily tweet like this. He cld stay silent instead of displaying his illogical arguments ! Interesting to see meaningful replies to him by so many fellow citizen!!
English

The BJP’s latest propaganda exercise deserves a reality check.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru remains the longest-serving Prime Minister of India. The BJP’s claim rests on a technicality of counting only from 26 January 1950 and then conveniently using the phrase “longest serving elected”.
India did not come into existence on 26 January 1950. Our national journey as an independent nation began on 15 August 1947.
Instead of manufacturing records through semantic jugglery and headline management, the government should focus on addressing the challenges confronting the people. History cannot be rewritten by clever footnotes or political marketing.
English

@poojaofficial5 Your friend is such an IGNORANT FELLOW, so he can waste his NOT SO HARD EARNED MONEY! We been using EV 3+ yrs. planning travel good. Also unlike 3 years back now plenty of working charging stations in so many many places. And so enjoying comfort of SILENT DRIVE !!
English

My friend bought a brand new Creta worth ₹20 lakh
I said
"Friend, you could have bought an EV or a CNG car instead,
Less expense and more savings.
At first, he smiled
Then he gave an answer that actually made me think.
He said
"EV cars are not bad,
but I don’t like the tension of running out of charge in the middle of a trip
and then searching for a charger everywhere.
And with CNG cars,
half the time goes into waiting in long queues instead of enjoying the drive."
Then he twirled the car key in his hand and said
"I just wanted a car
where I can sit, start it, and leave without overthinking anything."
Honestly
after hearing him, even I went silent for a few seconds.
Now tell me
If you had ₹20 lakh,
would you buy an EV, CNG, or Petrol or Diesel car ?

So let’s bring this to an end: which is the best non vegetarian dish amongst North Indian food and which is the best in South Indian food : pardon the geographical generalities… @Iyervval @ShivAroor @smitaprakash @kunalvijayakar
English

@mshahi0024 @IshanTanna1 do u need to display your pathetic slave attitude my dear fellow @mshahi0024 if you really want to rebut, use data -

English

Sit down, you shameless clown.
Around 70% of what you are celebrating today comes from projects that were planned, approved, or initiated over the 20 years before 2014.
By your logic, if we compare from 1947, the growth would be 100x or 1000x because the starting point was almost zero.
The real comparison is with our competitors.
China 🇨🇳 grew from roughly $2 trillion to $10 trillion in just 9 years.
India grew from around $2 trillion to only about $4.2 trillion in the same period.
And while you're busy distributing certificates of achievement, why do you forget to mention this?
Central Government Debt:
2013 : ₹52 lakh crore
2026 : ₹210–220 lakh crore
External Debt:
2013 : ₹21.2 lakh crore
2026 : ₹95–110 lakh crore
Who is going to pay this Debt while Rupee keep depreciating?

@ProfVemsani @ShashiTharoor "A Promised Land,"memoir by Obama describes RG as having a "nervous, unformed quality about him". Obama likens him to a student who has completed his coursework and is eager to impress the teacher, but fundamentally lacks either the aptitude or the passion to master the subject..
English

Hi @ShashiTharoor don’t pull President Obama into your polemics. He is in another league and you know it well. Obama delivered wonderful lecture on international strategy and wrote a great Op-ed on International strategy at they time in 2006 which was visionary and forward looking. And he had other great achievements to his credit. His mom did drop him in Washington on a Lamborghini.
Shashi Tharoor@ShashiTharoor
Come on, @Ram_Guha, this is a bit much. What experience did Barack Obama, a first-term Senator from Illinois, have in world affairs when he became President of the most powerful country on earth, while it was caught up in multiple global issues? For that matter, how much international exposure did the CM of Gujarat have to manage India’s International relationships? @RahulGandhi has led a national party for a dozen years. He has extensive contacts with leaders around the world and no shortage of advisers inside and outside his party. No President or PM handles crises alone; that’s why he heads a government! I think it’s time to put this overblown controversy to rest.
English

@ProfVemsani @ShashiTharoor Our dear @ShashiTharoor is trying to "pacify" his boss who has been cut with him. one need to only ask Shashi a few questions where Shashi's views were different from his boss'. If @RahulGandhi had good advisers then for sure, he wld hv taken a position India First!!
English

@iramsubramanian For you Subbu, if you are an Indian living in India, how does it matter if $=₹100? If u r an NRI or exporter, u will earn a lot more! Problem mainly for importers! May be that's one way to reduce import of not necessary items!!
English

The intellectual depth is astounding. If you are still wondering why the economy is suffering under this regime it’s simply because Narendra Modi loves making up new numbers while his friend Adani expands globally.
Pretty soon this government will be gone. Hopefully things will look better after that.
