Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

Brasília não é o terceiro maior conglomerado urbano do país. Não se pode confundir a população de Brasília do Distrito Federal, porque na prática é como se o Distrito Federal tivesse várias cidadezinhas isoladas umas das outras.
A posição de Brasília no ranking nacional depende inteiramente do critério adotado, o que torna enganosa qualquer afirmação simples sobre seu “tamanho”.
Se se toma o Distrito Federal como cidade, com cerca de 3 milhões de habitantes, ela aparece entre as três maiores — resultado de uma comparação imprópria entre uma unidade federativa e municípios. Quando, porém, se considera apenas o núcleo urbano efetivo, sua população cai para cerca de 1,5 a 2 milhões, afastando-a do topo.
Adotado o critério rigoroso de contiguidade — isto é, a mancha urbana contínua —, Brasília se situa aproximadamente entre a 8ª e a 12ª posição, atrás de cidades como São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte, Manaus e provavelmente Curitiba e Recife.
