I think that if we/US actually were planning on invading Iran, instead of a few thousand troops we'd need a few million. 🤷‍♂️ That said, I'm not at all confident that there will be a deal. I've been saying all along, and I'll say it again, IF MOJTABA IS INDEED ALIVE AND CALLING THE SHOTS, THEN THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THERE WILL EVER BE "A DEAL" B/C NO WAY IN HELL WILL KHAMENEI JR. EVER LET TRUMP HAVE ANY KIND OF FACE SAVING OFF RAMP.

Near-term call: Brent ~$90, WTI ~$85 IF the Strait of Hormuz reopens cleanly. If Iran hits Gulf infrastructure because no deal lands, we're at $250+, which is where oil should be trading regardless. I've believed for six years that oil is too valuable to burn at this rate. Since Feb 28 I've been almost exclusively in the oil futures space, including meaningful /CL and /BZ positions. We humans have existed in our current form for ~300,000 years. Dinosaurs ruled the Earth for nearly 160 million. We're going to burn every recoverable barrel inside a century. Our descendants will look back at $60 oil in utter, absolute disbelief.

I agree, Trump either has to win the HEU on the battle field or he only gets it in his dreams. That doesn't necessarily mean there won't be a deal though. Rumor is that an MOU is about to be signed wherein Iran will gain access to ~$25B of its frozen funds in return for a partial opening of SOH (without Iran having to make ANY nuclear file commitments). A deal like this I can see Iran signing. 🤷‍♂️Time will tell.

President Trump can beg Iran to surrender all he wants until he's blue in the face and even until his presidency expires in January 2029. But Iran will never capitulate to Trump's maximalist peace terms because in war it is the victor not the loser that gets to set the terms of the peace agreement and the US has suffered a humiliating strategic defeat in its war against Iran.

Haha, half the media and half the governments have been firing false signals in all directions for months. Barak Ravid and Trump are probably tied for the record holder. 🤣 My guess: this guy believes he has an inside scoop and was trying to share it. Only time will tell if it's true. Personally, I think if Mojtaba Khamenei and Gen. Ahmad Vahidi are actually alive, Iran is putting on a show pretending it wants diplomacy while planning to pull out last-second, blaming Israel/Netanyahu for whatever Lebanon killing happens the minute before the announcement, and likely using @edghirnour as an unwitting false flag. If Khamenei Jr. and Vahidi were assassinated on Feb 28, then unless Trump's ego gets in the way, I'd say this post may ultimately prove to have merit.

So I'd just put one word in brackets on that: "There is no [good] deal." I won't be shocked if we see a deal that at least partially opens SOH further for the unfreezing of ~$24B of Iran's funds with a commitment by Iran to merely "discuss" its HEU file in a second phase of negotiations without any firm commitments regarding same. 🤷‍♂️

Totally get it. Sounds like you're more bullish on Tesla than SpaceX, so you don't like the sound of a pre-IPO merger diluting your side of the deal, which is perfectly reasonable. I'm probably just more bullish on the SpaceX side because I'm a space nerd. That said, a post-IPO merger next year could make sense depending on how Optimus goes. I do see the potential synergy of combining robots with space exploration, especially self-replicating robots. Hell, why not throw Neuralink in too and make it like the Bobiverse book series? (If you're not familiar and you like sci-fi, I highly recommend it. The protagonist is an Elon Musk like billionaire software engineer who gets his consciousness uploaded into a self-replicating von Neumann probe after his death, and then explores the galaxy as an ever-growing fleet of copies of himself, each with slightly different personalities.)

The $24B doesn't bother me if it gets us a truly open SOH (as opposed to one where the IRGC continues to act as gatekeepers). Think about it, @DavidVance: WE SOMEHOW HAVE/HAD THE POWER TO FREEZE $100B OF IRAN'S MONEY. So if all we have to do is unfreeze ~25% of it for a free SOH, hells yeah!!! Imagine if you had $100,000 in your checking account and the bank suddenly told you that you couldn't touch it because your arch nemesis told them not to let you access your own funds. Then your enemy says, "I'll let you have 25% of your money, but only if you agree to do certain things I want." Seriously, how mad would you be? 🤣 So no, I don't have a problem with us giving Iran 25% of Iran's money. What I do have a problem with is Trump not requiring ANY nuclear concessions on the front end while also lifting the blockade, because doing so would mean giving up the majority of our leverage without an HEU commitment, making any hope of something better than JCPOA virtually impossible.

@DarioCpx I don't know, I think that if this is true, it is EXTREMELY BULLISH FOR OIL. SOH is packed full of IRGC militants, and believe you me, their preference is NOT a peace deal, they would much prefer to rid SOH of U.S. vessels. Hence, I would expect attempted strikes.
