Itamar Ben Gvir’s conduct is entirely deserving of the censure it has drawn across Israel’s political spectrum, including from Foreign Minister @gidonsaar.
Ben Gvir represents an extreme fringe, and his mistreatment of detainees is abhorrent, wholly unjustifiable and antithetical to the liberal democratic principles at the heart of Israel’s founding and the values that LFI upholds.
His antics yesterday only further demonstrate why Prime Minister Netanyahu’s decision to bring him into government was a catastrophic mistake.

Well done to Professor Rashid, who sums it up here: Palestinians in the diaspora have no right to comment on internal politics or disarmament matters in Gaza and the occupied territories, provided they are living in the comfort of the West.
Their priority must be to sacrifice at the maximum level to stop arms sales and take action, for example, much like Palestine Action.
But tragically, they have been utterly disappointing and most of them are only participating in symbolic protests to derive self-satisfaction and guilt-exonarating sensations. Some are even going on with their lives as if nothing is happening. Undoubtedly, their inaction, selfishness, and dramatisation of the events in Gaza amount to their complicity in the genocide.
The Palestinian diaspora will regret a lot unless they do something effective to stop the holocaust in Gaza and Israel's atrocities in the West Bank. The cost of their silence tomorrow will be incomparable to the cost of their actions now.
