In collab. w/ @OICE_Imaging we present an animated transformation of a growing #zebrafish nervous system via 3Dscript, imaged on a custom-built #lightsheet microscope. While the time-lapse progresses, the image volume is spatially transformed. Read more: nature.com/articles/s4159…

No grant agency funded my work on @FijiSc. The Max-Planck directors wanted me to stop working on Fiji. My Fiji paper got rejected twice. Only political clout got it published in the end. It is now cited over 12,000 times. And counting.

I once submitted a paper and immediately cracked open a beer to celebrate. It was desk rejected before I was even done drinking the beer. Was eventually accepted elsewhere and is currently my most highly cited paper.
