Union County: Both lanes of northbound Interstate 57 are blocked at milepost 32, 2 miles north of the Illinois 146/Anna interchange (exit 30), because of a crash. Traffic will be detoured at Illinois 146.

@KalinMayberry @IDOT_Illinois We were told by trucker in front of us maybe three more hours (at 12:30, after 3 1/2 hours) heard two fatalities, 2 semis involved. Very sad.

@KalinMayberry @IDOT_Illinois We have two dogs too but they ride well. We keep turning suv on for awhile to cool it off then back off to preserve gas. We still have a 10 hour drive ahead of us today so we might end up stopping for the night somewhere depending how long we are here.

@pamdutton @IDOT_Illinois So very sad! I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the information. We are stuck in the closure as well. I wish they could reroute those of us who are stuck here! We’ve got our 2 dogs with us and are all going stir crazy.
