@RaffertyRao @TheMuppetPastor Can you share where Jesus implied we have free will? I feel a lot he says imply the opposite or make no implication, and so applying my mind to the issue makes me wonder if it really exists. It does FEEL like we have some freedom of choice, but logically, it's hard to prove.

@pamuszynski @TheMuppetPastor The soil is human free will. The parable shows that God, the sower is not to blame for the soil as it is. The soil, of course, can change over time from rock to loam and from high nutrient to low.

When Jesus explained the parable of the Sower, He reminded the disciples of their rare privilege. “For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.” Matthew 13:17 ESV Can you imagine Isaiah, writing line after line about a future messiah, a suffering servant pierced for our transgressions yet we esteemed Him not? As amazing as the prophecy was, he must have ached wondering who this man was going to be. Habakkuk, crying out at injustice, didn’t know that Christ was coming to save us. Hosea had no idea that his line “out of Egypt I drew my son,” was going to mean more than just Israel, but Jesus as well. Job, after suffering horrific physical and emotional trauma, torture so great his own friends couldn’t recognize him, despite being the most righteous of men, still did not lose faith in God. “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!” Job 19:25-27 ESV Job simply trusted that his Redeemer was alive. He had no idea that Jesus was his redeemer, and Job didn’t even NEED to know. It was enough to believe He existed and that one day they would meet. How often do we understand that we have the privilege of knowledge that God’s holiest servants never accessed? We have the Bible at our fingertips, something the early church could never dream of, and yet some of us can’t be bothered to read it. And more importantly, how many people entered the kingdom of heaven with perhaps a tenth of that knowledge and theology that we have? Imagine Deborah, Noah, Abel, Sarah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Rachel, Isaiah, Daniel, Rahab, and Job. They didn’t have much of a Bible, save early Hebrew tradition, yet their rock solid faith in God and obedience to Him was enough to enter His kingdom. Some of them even died for it. Jesus told us that a childlike faith is needed to enter the kingdom of God. Yes, theology is good and has its place, but at some point we simply must accept that our Heavenly Father has everything under control, and we needn’t concern ourselves with all the details. Let us never lose sight of these simple truths.

@RaffertyRao @TheMuppetPastor But if the seed is thrown onto it at the wrong time, the seed dies. Are you saying people then have time to change and catch another seed later as good soil? Btw, are you a gardener? Gardening changed how I view the parables and Garden of Eden a fair bit. I recommend it.

@TheMuppetPastor How so? The soil doesn't appear to choose its nature. This bothered me as far back as I can remember, far before I ever thought to question my beliefs. I expected you to point to something else in the Bible to show there is free will. Can you explain how it shows free will to me?

@RareImagery @d2fl Can you help me understand what specific technologies you think we didn't have? If you were trying to get to the moon and you found you could survive in "space" (100-400km altitude) for a long time with your capsules, what more do you reckon you'd need to get to the moon?

We need more mental health practitioners. 👁️ The Artemis 2 launch on Wednesday and the subsequent swing around the Moon on Saturday represents an existential threat to the belief system of flat earthers and moon landing deniers.🚀 The basis of their belief is that it is impossible for humans to travel into outer space. The flerthers don't even acknowledge that outer space exists. The "science"-based deniers believe that we don't have sufficient fuel to fly to the Moon and that the Van Allen radiation belt would kill us if we tried. 👀 Expect a giant round of "AI video" declarations from all of these as they try to grasp the fact that the basis of what they preach is defunct - and decidedly so. 😮 They will try to convince you that what you are seeing with your own eyes isn't real. Because for them that's easier than to accept the fact that it is real and puts the lie to everything they have been preaching. So I expect an extra load on psychiatrists in the coming week.🚨 What do you think will happen?

@RareImagery @d2fl Sir, they mixed liquid oxygen and hydrogen. That makes water and a big boom. You don't need atmospheric pressure. Air only slows the velocity of the ignited fuel being thrown in one direction by the nozzle/combustion chamber to push the craft in the other direction.

@TruthArguments @Men_4_Choice We're leading because of the Dollar being the world reserve currency that is tied to oil, and we've been doing Imperialism since before WW2. If we were truly rich, we wouldn't have massive poverty and gun violence and lack of education and healthcare. You sound like a saboteur.

It is the way. Only because certain people like you who can’t compete with the capitalism you’ve got, doesn’t change the fact that you are leading in virtually EVERY domain on earth. There is a reason why America is the biggest economy on earth… If you’de rather live in a country who matches you’re values of insane welfare, then come to sweden and pay 60-70% of you’re salary in taxes. Out system is corrupt and had been taken advantage of from middle eastern citizens for years now. It’s just ridiculous. America has a patriotic way of freedom to it, which is enough spirit for a common sense individual to be proud of.

@d2fl It depends on the orbit and the dV. There are many scenarios where you would not hit the moon, or you'd hit a moon mountain in several weeks. I know very well how orbital mechanics work. I just want to know what they did IRL. TY for the answer tho. It's safest to match the orbit

@pamuszynski So, basic orbital mechanics states that the altitude of a spacecraft in orbit above a planet is determined entirely by the speed of the spacecraft. If they slowed down, they would drop toward the moon. So, yes, the lander was able to match the orbit via onboard computer.

@adamdorfx @Truth_matters20 Yes, I looked this up last night bc I realized I had just heard it and not checked. I apologize. What do you mean by "my heritage is Israeli"? You mean you are Semitic? Ashkenazi? The people living there now were not there for over a thousand years, for the most part, right?

I’m a Republican. I supported Trump. I raised money for him, I voted for him. I donated $60,000 to his campaign. Trump lied. He rugpulled us all. I didn’t vote for Lindsey Graham / America Second policies. You can disagree with me if you want. It’s your right to be fooled. But if you say I have “TDS” or am a “liberal” you need a new argument. There are millions of conservatives and members of the now torched “broad coalition” just like me. The only ones left supporting him are MAGA always Trumpers who place the man above the policies and our country.

@d2fl This is just a question about that final part of the moon landing missions where they are getting ready to go home, in case it wasn't clear. I have played a lot of Kerbal Space Program and landed, crashed, rendezvoused, docked, gone interplanetary, etc. Love it.

@d2fl Hopefully this will be a new one. I know it's hard to rendezvous with a vehicle in orbit when you've just taken off. Did they calculate the best timing instead of "wing it" in sims like I have? Did the orbiting craft have to slow down at all, or was the lander able to match vel?

@TruthArguments @Men_4_Choice He won because of stupidity. Republicans would rarely win but for the Electoral College and outdated 2 Senators per State system. A small majority of filthy rich psychopaths run our country. You'd be a fool to come here. Hyper competition is not the way. Sad to see you don't know

Sweden is very flawed… Not having a hyper competitive capitalistic country such as usa takes a toll on individuals wanting freedom. If I were American I would be proud of it. Very much so. If you hate you’re commander in charge, then move away from you’re country. He won because of democracy. Constantly turning and twisting everything Trump does to a shitshow really says alot about you’re intelligence… It’s sad truly. I hope republicans win every election for you’re sake, untill the democrats get’s rid of people like you in their party.

@adamdorfx @Truth_matters20 You have an interesting perspective, I'll give you that. You seem truly dedicated to physical nations as the way forward, and I can't understand why simply trusting God to work through individuals isn't enough for you. I mostly agree about Satan, too, btw. Btw, Culture = Nation?

In the Hebrew Bible, Satan is not the fully independent like in the Christians picture. Ha-satan is more like the accuser / adversary / prosecutor in God’s court. He challenges the righteous, but only with God’s permission. -a tester -a force exposing weakness - the evil inclination inside human beings You may want to live a life that is passive and docile, but overtime that tends to bring out the challenger. The nation model is a response to that and a way to protect and deter what might be Ha-Satan.

No, you were saying that Israel which was unarmed could have defeated the Roman Empire if Jesus would have joined them. In saying, Israel has lots its sovereignty and we’re already completely controlled. All the influential roles like the King, were appointed by Rome. That’s why Jesus decline the throne. He would not have been sovereign in his land.
