Tonight we discovered something pretty fundamental about how the game works. This has some surprising implications, including some that affect PvP. But we don't yet fully understand *exactly* why this happens so we have a lot more testing to do. Until then, I know something about PvP that not a single PvPer in the world knows 😅

🤓Do you have a 💯 Bellsprout that you haven’t powered up? Can you check the level 45.5 power up screen? It will either be 1106 or 1107. We’d like data on which CP it is for each wild-caught level. Note here my purified one (which was caught at level 8 or 13) is the 1107 CP.

@bmenrigh_pogo I have 5 gyms at work. Before I could raid anything I wanted because raid bosses were random. Now, no T5 raids pop here... It is so annoying!

The "rebalance" to raid tiers that now heavily favors T5 is really annoying to me. I used to be able to do 15+ T1/T3 raids per day at the gyms accessible here in Italy. Now I'm doing maybe 1-3 raids, as wave-after-wave of T5 go by.

@PokemonGoApp So you are taking away 3h of a PAID event for this? I hope people attending Milan or Santiago get some compensation...

Seeing a lot of misunderstanding around shiny odds. 1/20 doesn’t mean you will get a shiny every 20 raids. When it comes to probability most people underestimate the likelihood and length of streaks. If you flip a coin 500 times you’ll find streaks for 10-15 tails in a row. 1/x

Via @poke_miners, Sand Attack is a Fury Cutter clone as expected. Metal Sound is a 2-turn move that's a step below Thunder Shock, so it probably won't be useful on the Pokemon that learn it. Aegislash material, maybe? Psywave on the other hand is a...Cut clone? Ouch.

@paniccmc_ @pvpoke The problem is that very few Grass types actually learn any damaging Fire attacks other than Hidden Power (which is bad and also getting HP Fire is IV dependent), Sunny Day (which isn't in the game and is non-damaging) and Tera Fire Tera Blast (we're not getting Tera in this game

@pvpoke Thanks for the answer! I agree that skarmory is way too rps, but I kinda like a viable steel type move with above average energy generation (besides, SW was very nice in togetic for evo cup!). Do you think it could be worth exploring fire coverage in grass types instead?

@paniccmc_ Skarmory isn't overbearing right now, but it would still be plenty viable with -1 energy and provide more ways to beat it neutrally. Skarmory (and by extension, Lanturn) tend to have a lot of RPS dynamics, and its presence is super punishing to Grass.
