@paninimgmt No I just did the illustration. But thank you. Honestly I was super new at dealing with this type of thing at the time. Looking at the DMs I’m literally trying to act like I know how things work is a pretty sad attempt to look like a pro lol It was pretty hard to read lol

I think I’m safe to share this now. About two years ago I was given a job to make merch for some Vshojo clothing. I was paid. But I was told I was not allowed to say I made the art for it. I assumed that was normal. It hurt to see false eye cover the merch announcement knowing that people wouldn’t know I made the art. This was a nyanners and ironmouse clothing thing. I wasn’t as good back then and was much smaller. I really do think the money was nice. But not being able to say I made the art did hurt. I also wasn’t the first choice and was given the job through someone else with only a week to make both artworks. No opportunities came from it. So in a way it wasn’t worth the money. I’ve been holding on to this for a long time.

@The0neulost loved the illustration btw!!! It looked fantastic on the merch. Wasn't sure if you did the graphic design too, but it was super well put together

@The0neulost I wish I can say for certain, but all I remember is that they shared the artwork with us for approval! When working with collab partners, they don't always share which artist is working on the illustrations, but great reminder for anyone to confirm and ensure proper crediting.

@paninimgmt Honestly that makes sense considering how much ironmouse fights for artists. But did they really say an in house artist worked on it? If that is actually the case I was lied to.

SOOOOO happy to finally launch this, it's not perfect but I assure that we'll continue to improve it. It's been such a learning experience with so much involved, and our priority is doing what we can to balance everything: her ideas, pricing/shipping costs, availability/novelty, product types, styles, and of course feedback and requests from the community. A lot of passion and heart was poured into this launch from us and I hope that is evident. From having many brainstorming sessions, me deciding to set up the .ee domain since it was a perfect fit with her name, creating products (or experiences with the blind box) that she's excited for, dealing with numerous samples and revisions, and then having the trust and freedom from her to do things like commissioning some artists because of spontaneous merch ideas I have 24 hours before the launch (sorry and thank u artists). There may also be additional, small surprises or A THIRD SECRET OTHER THING once your orders arrive... The support and patience the community has given us is something that we are so appreciative of and would never want to take advantage of. We hope that the freebies included in this launch, as well as the compensation packages (for previous VSJ Anniversary orders) can serve as a small token of our appreciation and gratitude. Please keep an eye out over the next month or two for emails to confirm shipping information but again, expect something but keep in mind it unfortunately is unlikely to make up for your entire past order. 😭 Thank you to: - the amazing creatives I worked with directly (in no order) @34CYGNI @duckmastah @BYEBi_ @Misakii_Art @zenaPSD - the vendors and manufacturers working with us (especially Adam from Minato!) - the community, customers, fans for being SO understanding despite everything - most importantly @MichiMochievee for the trust and autonomy that allows me to handle this and other projects! I always reflect a lot around my birthday but I've been so overwhelmed with this constant thought that I've wasted this past year, with only a lot of stress and other issues to show for it. Around this time last year, I pretty much stopped playing games with friends because it felt like there was so much that I wanted to do + could do for work so I tried to focus more. Especially since I was taking time off for the first time, as I planned for my Japan trip in February. I was reassured and promised a lot but this time it seemed like I was finally being heard so my efforts felt worthwhile? In the end I fault myself for giving the benefit of the doubt despite having numerous experiences that put me into unfortunate situations that negatively affected my finances and health. This past week has been such a struggle mentally and it's been impossible to get out of bed. I'm hoping I can get through this over the next few days as I slowly catch up with everything (sorry), and rebuild myself and my routines. I don't want my life to be just work anymore and I want to change my mindset from "if I can do it, I should always do it since no one else will" to something else. I don't mind doing whatever I can if it makes sense but if the other parties seem not involved, then I shouldn't be either. The pandemic and recent events have stolen many years away (and added it in stress) but I'm hoping to make up for it all moving forward to myself and everyone else I care for. As I (somehow) turn 32 this week, I'd love to get back to playing games and just overall catching up with friends again. Thank you so much to all of the friends that check up on me or invite me despite me turning you down, not replying, or running it down in the off chance that I am able to join. Here's to more games soon? 🥲
