Doc candidate Toni York, PhD grad Dr. Erell Germia, and advisor Dr. Nicole Panorkou recently published the paper “Using Debugging As A Platform For Transdisciplinary Learning” in Cognition and Instruction. The paper describes a Scratch programming activity...link in comments!

The Math Dept and NJAMTE recently hosted an event at MSU about mathematical modeling education. It was an evening filled with COMAP, our doc modeling group, and Dr. Henry Pollak! Special thanks to Dr. Nicole Panorkou for organizing such a successful evening.

PhD student Amanda Provost & Dr. Panorkou presented their work on “Orchestrating Students’ System Thinking about the Rock Cycle'' at the meeting of the International Society of the Learning Sciences (ISLS) in Montreal, Canada. Co-authors were also students Toni York & Su San Lim.
