@PoruKima I start with function, then try to see the shape, then refine the movement style and each part, then iterate on that. Since I do games, play a bit with them, then iterate again with new ideas. I tend to take the pilot into account too. For me, the armature is super important.

@omomol_ You should also try @VRS_VUP’s Virtua Unlimited Project. It’s my 2024 GOTY and one of the best IntiCreates/Megaman Zero styled games around. I dare say if you’re looking for more Zero/ZX, I like this better than Gunvolt. store.steampowered.com/app/1934030/Vi… x.com/stgshmups/stat…

@STGshmups We did an evaluation of ai coding tools with a friend (should edit the video lmao) to see how they do in practice, and I can say that this "productivity" is a mirage that becomes worse over time. Coding yourself is much more efficient, but its used as an excuse to fire peeps

Valve has its problems, but Steam has almost entirely been the sole incentive for studios to make good games. If it weren’t for Steam, chances are there also wouldn’t be a massive indie boom either. They have the most consistent and trusted review/rating system of any platform by far There’s a reason no other platform has an actual trustworthy rating/review system. They benefit from fooling you. It makes it easier for them to sell dog shit Steam has single-handedly been keeping the gaming industry from going to absolute shit. Without them, you’ll be getting fed slop after slop after slop, unfortunately, and there wouldn’t really be much of a way to fight it. Steam is a central space for gamers to let other gamers know the truth about trash titles, without the corrupt journalists or whatever other bullshit and they want it gone
WarOwl@TheWarOwl

I don't even like loot crates, but this is bigger than that. If Steam falls, so does PC gaming. Every game will be Highguard, and you will be forced to like it. Valve must fight and win.

I used to go fishing with my grandfather, Panos, who I lost a few days ago. Some of my earliest memories with him are by the water, just the two of us, talking while we waited for fish that often never came. He would give me little pieces of advice about life, simple things that stayed with me long after the lines were pulled out of the water. Looking back, it was never really about fishing. It was about the time we shared, the stories, and getting to know the man who helped shape who I became. I had a special relationship with him, and he was always there for me. I wish we had more time together. I miss you very much, grandpa. Until we meet again. 💙

@ChaosChief9 We were fighting a water mage that kept transforming into water as our weapons touched him to dodge. The food and party cleric of the team waited, and as soon as he transformed, cast water to wine. Instant knockout due to high BAC level.

Roleplaying games are often about the weird crazy monkey business you'd never get up to in real life. Years ago, there was a PC who needed to cross a room filled with poisonous gas. His plan? Fill a helmet with water, drink a water breathing potion, seal the edges of the helmet with tar, and walk on through while breathing the water. What did we do? Not skill checks, that's for sure. No overengineered game rules. Just: “Welp, um, give it a shot!” 😂 (The "rules" for AD&D were often just high school physics.) Maybe the tar seal leaks a little. Maybe the helmet shifts. Maybe I add a little tension from whatever the situation, but play like that was almost always rewarded. 😇 Do you have any crazy stories like that, because I'd love to hear 'em! 👂

@zuhaitz_dev Funnily enough I'm much more shy and reserved online than in person. There's more feedback and less "spectators" there, so you can adapt and reach genuine connections more easily methinks. I find much easier do public speaking in front of a hundred people than record videos lol
