It should be the the best , no batter has scored close to 700 runs at a sr of 240 , this is just outrageous stuff from him and I don't think I see this record breaking for a long long time !!!

680 runs at strike rate of 243 with 45.3 average across 15 games sounds unreal already. But here’s how absurd Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s IPL 2026 really is:
A batter scoring 45 off 19 balls every single innings for 15 times would still strike slower & average lower than him. A team scoring 290 in 20 overs every match would still finish with a lower strike rate.
He sustained that violence across an entire tournament.
I don't think we fully understand what we're watching.

Krunal and Venkatesh are, at least for me, two of the least aesthetically pleasing and ugly batters to watch at the crease, yet they somehow still tend to get the job done.

@wrdgafidc I think this could be because sai and gill are batsmen who play low risk shots and still score at a good rate they do not try to just smash him , proper cricketing shots , which makes them harder to bowl to .

Even in that MCG match in the 19th over Hardik was trying to flat bat Rauf like this. Most probably on 18.5 Hardik would've tried to play the same shot.
Ravi on commentary wrongly called it pace-on but this was only 116 KPH from Archer.

Still remember 2020 days Mugiyer vs Luntha khan fight used to be 2nd biggest rivalry after kohli vs rohit. Pant was better in every aspect back then. Six years later Iyer has turned it around and Luntha khan seems like a gone case. Hardwork >>> Talent. Always
