David Lynch is the filmmaker behind some of the most surreal and dark movies in history, but he has spent decades obsessed with a very different kind of "sweetness." In this profound video on human consciousness, Lynch talks about how most of us spend our entire lives stuck on the "surface" of reality. He explains that just as science dug beneath the surface of matter to find molecules and atoms, quantum physics eventually discovered the Unified Field. This is described as the single, unmanifest source of everything in existence, the point where all the forces of nature become one. Lynch points out that while scientists use mathematics to find this field, it is actually something that can be experienced internally. He talks about how meditation acts as a vehicle that allows the mind to "dive" past the noisy surface of our daily thoughts. Because each deeper level of the mind offers more happiness, the mind is naturally drawn toward that unity. This is where the transformation happens. Lynch describes negativity like stress, anxiety, and hate as a form of mind control. He explains that when we touch that Unified Field, we are enlivening a "light" within ourselves that these negative states simply cannot survive in. You don't have to "fight" your problems or spend years analyzing them. The anger and sorrow just lift away without trying. As he says: "Those who don't know, they don't know. Those who know, they enjoy."

“Yeah but sugar makes me fat, gives me diabetes and cancer” Your body barely converts sugar into fat under normal conditions. De novo lipogenesis from carbs is usually very low, and when it happens, it costs energy (READ MY PINNED ARTICLE). The problem is sugar in a high-fat, PUFA-rich diet. Fat oxidation blocks glucose oxidation through the Randle cycle. Glucose stays higher, insulin stays higher, and the cell becomes worse at using sugar. That is insulin resistance. PUFA makes it worse because it oxidizes easily, increases lipid peroxidation, damages mitochondria, and promotes inflammation. Diabetes and cancer are metabolic diseases linked to poor glucose oxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation, and fatty acid overload.

I wrote the most complete fat loss guide in 3 parts, based on 10 years of trial and error where I tried pretty much everything until I found a sustainable method where you don’t have to starve or constantly restrict yourself. Part 1 is about nutrition: how to raise your metabolism and a few cheat codes to speed up fat loss and avoid plateaus while keeping high energy. Part 2 is about lifestyle habits, other cheat codes outside nutrition that have a huge impact on fat loss, and a full guide on how to design the perfect training program tailored to you. Both are free. Part 3 doesn’t concern you unless you’re already around 12–15% body fat (which is also why it’s paid): it covers the full pharmacology of fat loss. Each guide is about 150 A4 pages if printed. You can find them all here: berbarianwizard.substack.com

Want to lower cortisol? Eat sugar. Want to increase cortisol? Cut sugar. Lower sugar intake = larger cortisol spike. Higher sugar intake = flatter cortisol response. PMID: 36615866

There's a reason why God is always called Father. No it's not because of sexism - but because Creation is always done by Consciousness. This principle of Consciousness is referred to as the Father/Male. This is in contrast to the Female, which is the energy that creates and manifests what is decreed by the Consciousness. ------ Father. Not my will but thy will. I fear NOT any experiences on Earth, which are all beautiful expansions of creation sought out by you. What I fear is not forever remembering that I AM eternally by your side Amen.

Twenty years ago, our Keepers heard a rhino calf crying in the Nairobi National Park forest. They found him running in circles, completely blind, with no sign of his mother. She was never found. Surgery couldn't restore his sight – a congenital condition had taken it permanently. A blind bull rhino cannot survive in the wild. So we made Maxwell a promise: the Nairobi Nursery would be his forever home. Two decades later, he has become an institution in his own right. Max is the Nursery patriarch – a gentle, steady presence who has watched over generations of orphaned elephants pass through on their journey back to the wild. They adore him. Many stop by his stockade each morning to say hello, reaching their trunks through the bars or tapping on the gate so he knows they're there. He recognises each one by sound and scent alone. He is a double survivor: a member of a critically endangered species – black rhinos suffered a 98% population decline in Kenya between 1970 and 1983 – and a rhino who has built a rich, contented life without ever seeing it. Happy 20th birthday, Maxwell. sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans/maxwell

I went my entire life up until 24 hours ago thinking I hated mangoes A friend cut one up and offered half to me, but I declined, naturally, because I don’t like mangoes He convinced me to try it anyways, and I swear it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. So I’m standing there in the kitchen bewildered. Because, as you know, I do *not* like mangoes. I have never liked mangoes. But upon being interrogated about my mango eating habits, I realize I can’t remember the last time I actually ate a mango . . . Because I always decline mangoes. Because I don’t like mangoes. Now I’m wondering if I just convinced myself I don’t like mangoes out of the blue one day and where in the world that came from But more importantly, this begs the question: what other narratives do we carry about ourselves that we decided on years ago and never bothered to question or rewrite? Holy long-walk-for-a-drink-of-water, but my point is this: You can choose to change your mind, your way of being, your life at any point. No guilt or shame needed. Better to admit you got on the wrong train than to stubbornly allow it to take you to the wrong destination. Even if it’s as simple as deciding that hey, maybe you were wrong about mangoes 😂
