It was a privilege to meet the Hon’ble Commerce Minister Shri @PiyushGoyal to convey our gratitude for the successful conclusion of India’s recent trade agreements with strategic partner countries. These agreements represent a significant advancement in India’s trade architecture. They strengthen market access, improve regulatory cooperation, and position Indian industry to integrate more deeply into global value chains. At a time of shifting supply chains and evolving sustainability standards, such frameworks enhance long-term competitiveness and economic resilience. At the same time, these agreements present a clear responsibility for Indian industry. The market access has been negotiated; it is now incumbent upon businesses to expand their share in these global markets through scale, quality, innovation, and compliance. Effective implementation and industry readiness will determine the full economic impact of these partnerships. #IndiaTrade #FTAs #GlobalTrade #MakeInIndia @Arvind_Limited @CimGOI @Min_of_IC @DPIITGoI

Congratulations to Hon’ble Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai for presenting a forward-looking budget. It reinstates the optimism about what this means for Gujarat’s next chapter. The #GujaratBudget2026 sends a clear signal, manufacturing, exports and urban growth will drive the next phase of development. Support for textiles, the creation of the Gujarat Export Promotion Council, and significant investments in urban infrastructure can together strengthen industrial competitiveness while creating strong tailwinds for real estate and employment-led growth. @Bhupendrapbjp @sanghaviharsh @KanuDesai180 @CMOGuj @InfoGujarat

Last week, in my capacity as the Honorary Consul General of Finland to Gujarat, I hosted the delegation of senior advisors from leading European central banks to reflect on Gujarat’s growing role in the global economy. The delegation included Dr. Risto Herrala (Bank of Finland, BOFIT; Chair, India Expert Network, ESCB), Frederick Ladbury (Emerging Markets Economist, Bank of England) and Dr. Biswajit Banerjee (Expert Advisor to the Governor, National Bank of Slovakia. We discussed Gujarat’s evolution from a manufacturing-led economy to an emerging services and innovation hub, driven by GIFT City, upcoming nodes like Dholera and a strong record of attracting high-quality foreign investment. The dialogue covered opportunities in textiles and garmenting, energy, infrastructure, chemicals, financial services, semiconductors, green finance and sports, as well as the expanding role of European universities and business schools in strengthening Gujarat’s education and startup ecosystem. Later the delegation also met QX Limited in GIFT City and interacted with the Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) to gain a closer view of Gujarat’s investment ecosystem and policy framework. I believe that Gujarat is well positioned to act as a natural gateway for European businesses seeking to enter and scale in India’s next phase of growth. @LadburyF @bankofengland @NBS_sk @iNDExtBureau @iNDEXTbOfficial @FinlandinIndia #Gujarat #IndiaEurope #GIFTCity #ForeignInvestment #Textiles #InnovationEcosystem #SustainableGrowth

The 17th edition of Texcon’25 was a truly energising experience. I had the chance to interact Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Shri Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Rahul Jain, Managing Director & Senior Partner, BCG India, and Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor CMAI. Each conversation offered valuable perspective on the opportunities and responsibilities we share as a sector. What stood out this year was the clarity around India’s moment. With the global China plus one realignment, there is a growing sense that India can play a far larger role in global textile and apparel supply chains. To translate this into real outcomes, we need to rapidly strengthen our capabilities in man-made fiber (MMF), performance textiles and technical textiles, and embrace technology much more boldly across the value chain. There was strong emphasis on how clusters can drive this transformation by enabling MSMEs, improving productivity, supporting sustainability and traceability, and creating compliant, technology-enabled ecosystems that can compete globally. The discussions around sustainability, ZLD, PM Mitra Textile Parks, skill development, raw material competitiveness, and design-to-delivery speed added depth and direction. It was encouraging to see alignment on the ambition to grow exports from 40 to 100 billion USD and move toward the 350-billion sectoral vision. Addressing the “missing middle” and accelerating technology diffusion emerged as essential steps to unlock this scale. The convergence between industry aspirations and policy direction is stronger than ever, and there is clear willingness to adopt innovative approaches. There is real momentum behind the idea of India emerging as a modern, competitive and sustainable textile powerhouse. Looking forward to building on the energy and clarity these conversations created. @FollowCII @CMAI_Official @BCG @TexprocilIndia @TexMinIndia #Texcon25 #Textiles #MMF #TechnicalTextiles #PerformanceTextiles #PMMitraParks #SustainableTextiles

Over the last few days, I've had the rare privilege of spending time with some of the world’s most forward-thinking leaders, including meeting Elon Musk and Sam Altman within just 48 hours. Engaging directly with two of the greatest technology visionaries of our time, alongside leaders in AI, quantum computing and enterprise transformation, was an experience I will carry with me for a long time. These conversations left me energised and deeply reflective. Here are my five biggest takeaways: 1. A historic productivity revolution is here. AI, agents, robotics and quantum computing are converging to reshape how organisations work. Flatter structures, amplified individuals, and unprecedented innovation will define the next decade. 2. Energy and compute will determine competitiveness. Power, specialised hardware and frontier compute capacity are becoming the real economic moats for both nations and enterprises. 3. Skills are being rewritten. Prompting, agent orchestration and AI fluency will become the new core literacy. The winners will be those who learn fast and build on global AI rails, not those who avoid them. 4. The social contract must evolve. As capital becomes stronger relative to labour, leaders must ensure that this transition remains inclusive and expands opportunity, not narrows it. 5. A new scientific frontier is opening. Quantum computing is far closer than most realise. It will unlock breakthroughs in materials, energy, and molecular science that will reshape entire industries. This trip reminded me that technology alone doesn’t define the future — leadership, learning velocity and the courage to reimagine do. It’s an extraordinary time to be alive. And an even more extraordinary time to be a builder. A special thanks to @manojladwa and @IGFupdates Global Forum for bringing together such a remarkable group of Indian leaders and curating an unforgettable, deeply inspiring visit to the Valley. #IGFUSA2025 #IndiaGlobalForum #Innovation #AI #QuantumComputing #Sustainability #Technology #GlobalIndia

India’s domestic apparel market is one of the most exciting growth stories to bet on. It is projected to grow at a CAGR of 8-9% over the next decade. With 1.4+ billion people and rapidly evolving tastes, demand is broad, diverse and shifting from basics to expressive, comfortable wear. That creates immense opportunity for brands that combine relevance with quality and thoughtful design. At Arvind, we are doubling down on that domestic opportunity. I’m delighted to welcome 𝗥𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗮𝘃 𝗝𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗹 as the brand ambassador for 𝗔𝗗, our contemporary ready-to-wear label. AD is built on decades of textile expertise, premium fabrics and thoughtful construction. Raghav’s authenticity, effortless style and flair are a perfect match for AD’s ethos of fashionable, versatile, and comfortable everyday wear for a generation that values both expression and ease. The domestic story is big, immediate and full of potential. We are investing behind product, people and purpose, and I couldn’t be more excited for our brands to play its part. @Arvind_Limited #TheArvindStore #ADbyArvind #RaghavJuyal

We welcome the decision by the Government to extend the cotton import duty exemption till 31 Dec 2025. This step will help garment hubs by easing raw material costs and supporting exports at a time when global trade is challenging. This support makes Indian textiles more competitive and benefits the entire value chain. This support is vital for our 35 million textile workers and our goal of $100 billion in exports by 2030. We’d like to thank the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi ji for championing this vital initiative. A timely move that will strengthen the sector. #DutyFreeCotton #Textile #India @PMOIndia @FinMinIndia @TexMinIndia @girirajsinghbjp
