But I find that there are people who don't seem to have this aversion to filth or grossness. Like you, they response in very practical terms about it rather than emotional.

Without washing, a low chance a pathogen finds an entry point if you touched eyes or mouth. With washing the danger is basically non existent. It’s not actually unclean if you handle it properly
