Funding isn’t a fixed cost, it’s market driven and flows between longs and shorts. It also goes both ways. When the market price is above the index, longs pay shorts. When it’s below, shorts pay longs. So over a 5 year hold, you’ll have periods where you’re paying and periods where you’re receiving. It’s not a one-way bleed like interest on a loan. That’s really the point. You get real estate price exposure without a down payment, without a mortgage, without dealing with property management, and you can start with just a few hundred dollars.

Thanks for sharing this. Based on how Parcl works, positions can only be opened or closed when a transaction is signed from the connected wallet/ledger, so this shouldn’t occur automatically during price updates. Please DM your wallet address and we’ll review the on-chain transactions to see what happened..

@Parcl My positions have automatically closed multiple times this week around the time of price update. I am not being liquidated as all funds are still available after. I withdrew all funds back into my wallet for a day then deposited it back and it’s now working. Please fix this.

This means the average single-family home now costs over 4 TIMES what the median household earns. This has even surpassed the 2006 Housing Bubble peak of 4.1x. The ratio has risen by +1.2 points, or +38% since 2011. During this period, home prices have surged +139% while median household income has increased +68%. Housing affordability is horrible at best.
