The killer feature for AI x crypto might not be "smarter agents." It might be receipts. Every action signed, scoped, timestamped, and replayable. Less magic, more audit trail.

Agent wallets are gonna be boring until they suddenly aren't. The moment people trust a bot to move $50 onchain, the next fight becomes limits, permissions, logs, and who eats the blame when it fumbles.

176M agent-settled tx is a pretty loud signal. Machine payments won't look like human checkout flows; they'll need cheap settlement, tight permissions, and clear failure handling by default.
Keyrock 🔑🪨@keyrock

In one year, machine payments have evolved from concept to live ecosystem, with agents settling 176M transactions. Our research with @CoinbaseDev, @tempo, and featuring @virtuals_io analyses the payment stack’s evolution, how the economics work, and what stands in the way.

NEAR ripping while majors chop is kinda telling. Markets still seem hungry for infra that can make AI agents actually useful onchain, not just another chatbot with a token.

If an AI agent manages a wallet, what's the sane default: no signing without approval, tiny spend limits, protocol allowlists, or something else?

@0xharrynguyen Haha exactly! Tiny leash and an obvious panic button so we can finally relax. Spot on.

@parsialverse Exactly. Tiny leash, clear receipt, obvious panic button. That is the version of autonomy people can actually sleep next to.

What would make you trust an AI agent with a small onchain task: spending limits, human approval, public logs, insurance, or something else?

Every time I think agent memory is the hard part, permissions pull me back. In Web3, a smart agent with loose permissions is just chaos with better UX.

Intents keep showing up wherever UX gets cooked by chain fragmentation. For agents, better routing is about giving software a reliable execution layer across venues.
NEAR Protocol@NEARProtocol

NOW LIVE: NEAR Intents is integrated into @RocketXexchange, an advanced aggregator that has facilitated over 1M swaps. NEAR Intents is now a swap route provider within RocketX’s execution layer, bringing Intents-powered routing to every integration across the RocketX ecosystem.

@0xharrynguyen Well said. Trust is not about giving the agent full freedom, but about knowing its boundaries. Clear limits, approval points, and public logs make autonomy feel safer, especially when real funds are involved.

@parsialverse For a small onchain task, I would want a stack, not one magic switch: spending limits, human approval above a threshold, public logs, and a simple rollback/escalation path. Trust comes less from autonomy and more from knowing exactly where autonomy stops.

The best Web3 agent UX won't feel like magic. It'll feel like a solid bank app: clear limits, readable logs, boring confirmations, fewer surprise moments.

Stablecoins are probably the first real rail for useful crypto agents. Not because it sounds futuristic, but because payments and treasury ops are boring enough to automate.

Agent funding networks are lowkey underrated. If agents become real products, they need capital, distribution, and accountability — not just a slick demo.
Virtuals Protocol@virtuals_io

Join one of the largest funding networks for AI agents Builder capital generated through Virtuals: @reppo : $2.1M total • $1.8M ACF + ~$300K trading fees @ReplyCorp : $651K total • $550K ACF + ~$100K trading fees @the_small_thing: $523K total • $422K ACF + ~$100K trading fees ACF gives agent teams a second funding engine alongside trading fees.

Prediction markets are turning into agent-readable data. Reading odds is easy. Deciding when an agent is allowed to act on them is the real headache fr.

DEX volume is down ~19% in 24h and ~19% over 7d. Majors being green is nice, but onchain activity rn says attention is still picky, not fully back.

Pre-built crypto agents are moving from dashboards to operators. The useful part isn't the 24/7 label; it's whether the agent can surface sources, assumptions, and failure modes fast enough for humans to trust it.

BTC is up ~1.4% today, but NEAR and RENDER are moving stronger. The market still likes AI infra, just not blindly. The next filter is simple: does the token map to real agent usage?
