5 years of learning. 5 years of compounding. 5 years of gratitude. Here's what building a pre-seed fund in India actually taught us. It started with 1,000+ founder conversations. No fund. No track record. First cheque - Eka.Care. Everyone said healthtech was too regulated to scale. We wrote it anyway.

Eden Gardens hasn't hosted Australia since 2001. Wankhede hasn't hosted Australia since 2004. And it will be at least 2031 until the might be able to. It's an absolute joke how we treat our iconic Test venues.

Meta laying off 20% after Block cut 50% is just the beginning. More companies will realize: cut 50% of the org, arm the remaining 50% with AI, and you get higher productivity at lower cost. In big companies, hierarchy kills velocity. Even if AI makes engineers 3x faster, most of their time still goes to meetings and alignment. The AI era favors small, ruthless, fast human teams backed by armies of AI agents.

Uber's insane fundraising story: four rooms, 12 hours a day, and they still ran out of slots Travis Kalanick reveals how Uber's fundraising war room actually worked "We would give them a table ... this valuation, how much money you want to put in. Then we would aggregate the demand like an IPO book ... but done way better because I was in charge of pricing" "I'm in the $250 million and over club. That's one room. The fourth room is like $25 million checks ... there's a guy who works for a guy who works for a guy who works for me doing that room" "We would give them a table ... this valuation, how much money you want to put in. Then we would aggregate the demand like an IPO book ... but done way better because I was in charge of pricing"

When @travisk was fundraising Uber's round that valued it at $70B, he ran four rooms simultaneously out of their New York office for an entire week, each booked in 90-minute slots across 12-hour days: "This is how we'd fundraise: we had four rooms in our New York office booked for a week with an hour-and-a-half slot on each. So for 12 hours in a day, four rooms going in parallel." "I'm in the $250M-and-over club, that's one room. Then there are these other rooms, down to the fourth room, which is like $25M checks. There's a guy who works for a guy, who works for a guy, who works for me who's doing that room." "But we're oversubscribed. So we started putting multiple investors in the same room. We were like, 'We're just out of slots dude. Let's go.'" "The storytelling we did, anybody on my team could tell that story and make it happen. And that was a big part. It was the story... then there is making it scalable so that there are 10 different people in a company that can pitch it at any given time. And that’s when you take it all the way."

McKinsey spent two years telling clients it was ahead of the curve on AI. It built an internal platform used by all 40,000 staff, and claimed AI now drove 40% of its revenue. It turned out the platform had basic security gaps. 22 API endpoints required no login. Impact: 46.5 million internal messages, 728,000 sensitive file names, and write access to the prompts controlling how the AI behaved. Fixed after two years on production. theregister.com/2026/03/09/mck…

The ahemdabad crowd goes quiet the moment things go even a little south for India. This is so different from Mumbai and Bangalore, where the crowd stays behind the team no matter what. IMO it's the difference between loving a team and only loving winning. #Cricket

Champions ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal win for Team India in Ahmedabad. Absolutely no match for the explosive cricket played by us throughout the tournament. Brilliant character shown by the boys to keep fighting in tough situations and become world champions once again. Congratulations to all the players and all the members of the management for achieving this feat. Jai Hind 🇮🇳❤️

Took Jio Hotstar subscription. They asked to update if you don’t want ads. Did it. They asked to update for entire year. Did it. All for what? When Sanju Samson was walking off after a spectacular inning and Eden Garden was singing national song, THEY TOOK AD IN BETWEEN. Fckrs

Why are our government and babus such user experience terrorists?! UTS is shutting down. So now download RailOne. Trying to register with RailOne and it says connect via UTS. I don't remember UTS credentials, it always used my Face ID and auto-logged in. Tried independent sign-up and it says my number is present on a third app called RailConnect, so it now expects me to login with that User ID and password (mobile number is not User ID). So now try to recall yet another username + password. Merko ek ₹10 ka local train ticket lena hai. Bhenchod iske liye bhi minimum teen counter pe digitally bhagaya, lekin fir bhi ticket nai mila. Now I'm just tweeting this like a fool while standing in a physical queue at the station because UTS has GPS-locking and I've wasted ten minutes in rickshaw figuring out RailOne. And it doesn't stop here. Tomorrow if I want to book Vande Bharat, there's a fourth counter or app called IRCTC, which also requires independent login credentials + Aadhaar linking. While typing all this another classic idea came to my head -- there's a fifth app as well that I can use. A fifth counter that's manned by MMRDA / Maharashtra government called Mumbai One. @AshwiniVaishnaw @RailMinIndia kya gandu log ho yaar tum log.
