Martin’s plea for players sounds to me like he knows a couple of things. They have fuck all lined up, & yet they’re still trying to apply all the parameters that Tisdale was using, including budget. The fact he’s gone this open, this early, means (imo) he sees the outcome of the window if it continue on this trajectory using the same criteria.
