@EllieHotel_ing Thanks for your breaking news thing on Trump's attempts to undo Biden's pardons. One correction/nitpick: the story was originally *hawked* by the Heritage Foundation, not hocked, which means pawning.

To give that some scale, if Philly breaks 900k and keeps Biden's 2020 margin, Harris would win more votes than the entire number of voters in 2020.

I talked to one city official who says vote total could approach or pass 900k, a historic figure that represents some 80% of total registration.

Smart play b/c 1. It's where GOP voters are most likely to be receptive to this message 2. Wisconsin math: Dane + Milwaukee counties roughly equal outstate + WOW counties. Cut the lead in Waukesha and Ozaukee, and you have a recipe for success like 2022 Supreme Court race.

@johnastoehr It should be said that this is due in no small part to the left wing of the party being Biden's most consistent supporters. They pushed for progressive stances, and people saw there was not really any electoral penalty to pay for them.

@pastordan Yes! In this sense, Biden really was the bridge to the next generation. That's probably the best way to think about Biden, as a transitional president.

John doesn't put it this way, but he makes the really solid point that Harris is the first Dem nominee fully outside of Reagan's long shadow. Dems for the most part seem to have figured out under Biden that f*** it, we don't have to be scared of Ron anymore.
