OKC also has a real "fuck it, bring it on" energy.
Rick@OCColordguy

@HPbasketball OKC would be crazy to try to win at Denver Friday… losing almost guarantees they would only have to face one of the two teams (DEN/SAS) with a chance to beat them and that would be after they’ve pummeled each other

@JMurrayWrld @Jvonte15 Ho hum Jokic has the best offensive season of all time. Meanwhile, we have someone who is way less impressive than AI and Kobe being crowned. Whatever

Leading the league in rebounds and assists has never happened even across multiple SEASONS. Let alone in one. It will never happen again. Will never take it for granted.
NBA Courtside@NBA__Courtside

Paul Pierce says you’ll have a better chance of scoring 100 points in a game than having a guy lead the league in assists and rebounds: “We’re never going to see a season like this again from no one else ever in the history of the game.” (Via @NFGShow)

@kingoftrolz @den_shorts If you are right on the money, I wouldn't blame him. As a fan, I would hope he/they would try and maximize health for a brutal playoff run

@paterade79 @den_shorts Surely you don't expect of him to sit out, become ineligible for All NBA team and lose the chance to sign $130-150M bigger contract extension in the summer?

Doesn’t Jok have to play both games to be eligible for awards?

So, the Thunder are resting their entire playoff rotation vs the Nuggets, which they objectively SHOULD do. The Nuggets are playing cat-and-mouse with Jokic/Murray/Gordon based on the Lakers game tonight I'd imagine. If Lakers win vs Warriors, Nuggets probably play everybody.

@NBABlackburn kind of a weak move in my opinion, got a chance at number 3 no matter if the lakers win or not, but you’re basically admitting you’re terrified of that last game against the spurs loser mentality

@MileHighHuddle @KelbermanNFL I would argue they did it because of the risk of not doing it as well. We had very few games with 4 healthy receivers including the AFC championship game. Injuries are a part of it and this protects us a little bit

@yungcoloradokid @COSportsNut Doesn't matter who they give it to. The Jokic highlight reels will live on forever. No one will care about push off mid range jumpers and free throws. Jokic legend will only grow.

@NBASrbija Jokic is beyond MVPs. His legend doesn't need it and this only helps his cause.

“Nikola Jokić is going to be the first player to ever lead the league in both rebounds and assists per game, he’s averaging an uber-efficient 27.9 points for the league’s No. 1 offense... And it still might not be enough to win the MVP award.”

NBA App Power Rankings by BetMGM 📊 @johnschuhmann: "The Nuggets have won eight straight games, scoring more than 121 points per 100 possessions in all eight, including an overtime win over the Spurs on Saturday afternoon. (Five of their six games against Oklahoma City and San Antonio have been determined by six points or less, with two of them going to OT). @jamesmerilatt That's messed up. The only coach in Nuggets history to deliver a title. Nothing but love for Moach!

@arkaavs He could be MVP but he's not Kobe and he's not Iverson. Great player but not an all time great.

@SSN_Broncos_ @Sidelines_SN @BarstoolUIowa B+. Teams played prevent offense all year. 1st and 2nd down conservative and then third down throw at Riley and hope for a flag. You would be stupid to do that to Surtain but he probably would have got flags as well.

Are you kidding me? He would fit in seamlessly as long as we don't have to give up important assets. I get the emotional downside but we are in a different phase. MPJ leaving was the end of that phase and now we have to do stuff like this to contend. It was great while it lasted but now we need mercs.

Jokic has had a worse defensive season than Luka. That's one of the reasons I wouldn't pick him, though there are others (the post-injury efficiency dip and turnovers being most prominent). I have Jokic in fourth with all of that stuff in mind.

Defense hurts jokic’s case?

@SamQuinnCBS Jokic is immune to media MVPs. His metrics are now should have won MVPs like LeBron. That's when you know it's an all time great.
