I have played 1,956 golf courses in my lifetime. The 2,000 mark is nearing. 3,000 club is likely. 4000 is rare air but very possible before I die. Especially if I end up in Florida. Here are my top states. California - 370 Arizona - 95 Florida - 93 New York - 89 Wisconsisn - 78 Washington - 78 Texas - 71

@golfbloggercom I know @GolfsoupJones got em all in Oklahoma. The only guy I know that played every golf course in any state.

@Brendan12122719 I had all of the scorecards. The spreadsheet broken down by state started at 30 when I put my cards onto the sheet one night in San Francisco.

@patrickjkoenig I was one of those stops! St John’s South of JaX. So many courses in the FLA.

@FUPodcast Good question. I think playing mediocre courses helps to appreciate truly great ones. Even "average" courses can have a few holes with architectural significance. I believe every course has somethiing special in there. No regrets.

@patrickjkoenig Honest question...any regrets? I'm just shy of 200 but have played 39 of the T100. Do I need to see half decent golf courses to expand my knowledge? I'd like to see a bunch of Midwest 9 holers but I have a hard time driving for mediocrity. Not a cynical query. Truly asking.
