VERY EMOTIONAL TOOIC TO THIS DAY !
A 'Scalpeen' in Ireland 1845-52. Eyewitness quote by A. Nicholson: “This bed was made in the bog, within a few yards of the Atlantic Ocean, but sheltered from its spray by a bank, under which a narrow place had been dug, which partly covered him. Taken from The Truth Behind The Irish Famine. 72 paintings and 472 eyewitness quotes: jerrymulvihill.com

Underwater archaeologists recover HMS Erebus sailors’ belongings
In a recent 12-day exploration spearheaded by underwater archaeologists from Parks Canada at the National Historic Site of the Wrecks of HMS Erebus & HMS Terror in the Canadian Arctic, a trove of historical artifacts has been uncovered, providing valuable insights into the ill-fated 1845 Franklin expedition.
The Franklin expedition, led by Captain John Franklin, aimed to navigate the last uncharted sections of the Northwest Passage. Tragically, the HMS Erebus and the HMS Terror became icebound near King William Island in the Canadian Arctic. After a year trapped in the ice, the crew abandoned the ships, resulting in a harrowing 250-mile trek across sea ice, during which all perished.

Nice REWARD!! In 2018, a farmer in the German state of Hesse was awarded €773,000 (approximately $904,000) for a 2,000-year-old bronze horse head that was discovered on his property during an archaeological excavation in 2009. The head is believed to be part of a larger statue of the Roman emperor Augustus and is considered one of the best-preserved Roman bronzes ever discovered. #NationalArchaeologic ☠️

Since most people don’t love to buy cars in the middle of winter, Tesla is offering a $1000 incentive to do so.
This is the essential quandary of manufacturing: factories need continuous production for efficiency, but consumer demand is seasonal.

FACT OF THE DAY! ☠️#NationalArchaeologic
Yes, the Easter Island heads do have bodies! In fact, they are not just heads, but full-body statues called moai. Most of these statues are buried up to their necks, which is why many people think of them as just giant heads. The bodies are often not visible due to erosion and the accumulation of debris around the statues. The moai were carved by the Rapa Nui people, and each statue is believed to represent a deceased ancestor. So, next time you see a picture of an Easter Island head, remember that there's a whole body hidden beneath the surface!

STUNNING !!
Sword from the Anglo-Saxon Sutton Hoo ship-burial, dates to approximately AD 620. Suffolk, England.
This sword is one of the many artifacts discovered in the Sutton Hoo ship-burial, which is thought to have belonged to one of four East Anglian kings: Eorpwald, Raedwald and co-regents Ecric, and Sigebert. The artifacts of this burial were chosen to reflect the high rank of the king, and to equip him for the Afterlife. #NationalArchaeologic ☠️🌍

NEW: Illegals storm the beaches of La Jolla, California in a smuggling boat and then abandon the boat for everyone else to deal with.
Just a normal day in California.
Good Samaritan surfers swam out to pick up all the trash that the illegals left for them. The trash included fuel cans which leaked into the ocean.
"The waves were gnarly and the boat had capsized; the fuel had dumped into the water and you could smell it," a local said.
The illegals reportedly got away as they usually do and ran into the community.
La Jolla is a liberal community so they should have no problem taking these illegals in.
