bitcoin maxis are learning the hard way the importance of self-custody @Strike has @BitmundFreud's money locked due to AML requirements (he needs to declare the source and provide source information to release the sats) we have been warning for years about Lightning and the risks of shared custody (or delegated custody) of funds that is inherent to the LN many of these maxis have either ignored it or told us we "didn't understand bitcoin" if we were criticizing lightning knowledge eventually charges its price, tho some people will only learn when they lose money however, the big problem with these BTC/LN influencers is that they will likely cause many others to lose money while they LARP about freedom and ownership and post but never really use the products they are shilling often enough

Someone sent me sats via Lightning on Strike (using Wallet of Satoshi). Now Strike is demanding I provide the sender’s full name and surname, or they’ll send the funds back. How am I supposed to know the sender’s real name on a Lightning payment? This is ridiculous. It’s Bitcoin, for god sake. Why is the platform forcing me to identify the sender or lose the sats? Has anyone else dealt with this on Strike? Is there better options in the UK that respect privacy and don’t treat every $5 transaction like a compliance investigation?

@Classicxbt That bootstrap test was on mainnet, Nano runs on basic consumer hardware, and is decentralized. The lack of smart contract support is intentional - there's no desire for non-money usecases to compete with Nano's core hard money usecase:
