By now someone has explained the J6 indictment to him. They’ve explained he cannot claim any forms of privilege. None apply. He cannot fight it on constitutional grounds, such as 1A, because he isn’t being indicted for his speech. He cannot argue the validity of the laws he has broken. They are clear and have been successfully applied to numerous cases. He is being indicted for his deceitful actions. Actions that will be attested to by his lawyers and inner circle. His own people. This is an indictment purposefully built for clarity and speed. It terrifies him. As it should.

This will be the most significant trial in our lifetimes. There will be so much disinformation and spinning. And so much that will go to the heart of who we are as a people. My son is 15 I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby. I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline. When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month. He was raised Catholic, and went to church. Guess what? He is gay.
