If you'd have told me this time last year I would have left working in the cinema, gone to work in a book shop, and then two weeks after submitting my MA thesis landed a job in a museum I would have called you a liar! But that is exactly what has happened! 🎉🎊🎉

@Police_Gazette I never once saw a Ripperologist talk about family histories, or any of the real life stories beyond recycling the same stuff over and over from day one.

The majority of information known about the victims and their lives was revealed via exploration conducted by Ripperologists.

@paulbegg2 @DayleH137 @HallieRubenhold Very little Ripperology has ever explored the actual lives of the victims. The overwhelming majority of it has been recycling the same myths and BS over and over. Which is why I encourage people to read this book. It is the first of its kind, and it contains incredible research.
