Update from the @CityofReno Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board (RAAB): In our six-seven months of existence, the RAAB has reviewed seven applications for Tax Increment Financing, as well as capital improvement projects, downtown plans, and RDA initiatives like ReStore and ReUp. The @CityofReno Redevelopment Agency quarterly report via Revitalization Manager @BryanMcardle: Hosted 70+ summer events, including the Western Lights Festival w/ 61K attendees. Upgraded downtown riverwalk w/ new lighting, trashcans, signs, and paint. Approved major public-private projects, incl. @GrandSierra's arena project, which will be the largest private company investment in #Reno. Added approx. 1K new housing units. Launched Restore program to support retail beautification. Redesigned Locomotion Plaza. I'm such a fan of @Google's Year-in-Search videos. They beautifully capture how society shapes trends and culture. From a political perspective, while Pres.
