@Ed_Miliband You are living in a hall of mirrors. In three years' time your career and this daft policy will be roadkill.

Sure, California is losing billions of dollars a year to fraud, but have you considered that they’re also spending untold sums on worthy causes, like sex-change operations for our homeless undocumented transgender neighbors?

I just had a 10 tweet exchange with Oliver Kamm who writes for the Times and tells me that “should of” is grammatically good English. At some those with their fingers near the levers of cultural power will have to be cleared out if we are ever to recover basic standards.

@paulmacdonnell @Inevitablewest @BBCNews has to be a point at which we make appeals to other authorities. There are things about which I am an authority, nothing exciting, but there are. On other matters, if I wish to be able to navigate the world and make decisions based on reliable data, I must trust & try to verify

🚨BREAKING: The BBC has been forced to let go of more than 2,000 employees (10% of total workforce) as they face SIGNIFICANT financial constraints This comes after millions of Brits boycotted the far-left propaganda machine. The collapse of the BBC is imminent! 🇬🇧

@Sukidovi @Inevitablewest @BBCNews An argument that something isn't true because other people think it isn't isn't an argument. Here's a rebuttal in four-words: Coverage of the Middle-East.

@Inevitablewest There is no evidence that the BBC is either 'far-left' or a vehicle for propaganda. I play a little game on here where I laugh myself silly reacting to how many times each day the @BBCNews gets accused of being both left & right-wing biased, often in relation to the same subject.

Watch British tourists harass an Israeli couple in Vietnam. They sing “Boom boom Tel Aviv” and call them “rats”. They even invoke the Nazi trope of Jews being kicked out of “110 countries”. These pro-Pals are indistinguishable from Nazis now. I’m ashamed of them.

Israelis are detested globally because of the horrific actions of the state of Israel, IDF and settlers. They only have themselves to blame and Israeli leaders feed the hate, they depend on it, they thrive on it. Israel needs to be hated as part of its survival strategy and brainwashing of their own citizens.

Today I am inviting the following to debate me about Suicide of a Nation - about what is happening to Britain & the British people. This is the No.1 paperback in Britain according to the Sunday Times & has been a bestseller for 2 weeks. Yet total silence from people who say they are the most open-minded of all. Strange. Many people will think this is very very odd and reflects a strong bias in our national debate & media. So today I am inviting the following to debate a book many, many people in Britain are now reading: BBC Radio 4 Today The Rest is Politics The News Agents James O’Brien Iain Dale The Guardian The New Statesman Trevor Phillips/Sky Laura Kuenssberg In fact, any BBC show You claim to reflect the mood of the people. You claim to understand the country. So, let’s debate the most popular paperback among the people. My DMs are open. Your producers have my number. Best wishes, Matt

@VerminusM @jvgraz They don't believe in Arab agency. This is the paradox of postcolonial studies and the movements it spawned: the objects of the "orientalist" gaze never get to make decisions. Hence, the minds of the left are perpetually hijacked by an oppressor-oppressed algorithm.

@jvgraz Israel is occupying Lebanon in response to attacks from there on Israel, just like the Allies occupied Germany and Japan in response to military aggression. Your reply illustrates how racists can't even consider that Arabs can make decisions and face consequences.

@SJK415 @GoodwinMJ 1. You say he's promoting his book. Which is true. 2. He says that MSM won't interview him as they refuse to engage with the book's SUBJECT. Which is also true. You think that 1. being true rules out 2. Or you also don't want to engage with the subject of his book?

@SJK415 @GoodwinMJ So Britain doesn't have a problem with large migrant groups from honour cultures that have not integrated? Members of these groups are not overrepresented in street-crime and crimes against women? That's good to know.

@paulmacdonnell @GoodwinMJ No that isn't the point at all. Its veiled self promotion designed to fool idiots into believing the narrative he is trying to build. Ok how many copies has it sold and what level of media discussion do books of similar sales get vs his?

@SJK415 @GoodwinMJ I think his point is that the BBC and the other mainstream media are unwilling to discuss such an important subject. The book has sold a lot of copies, which means many other people think it's important also. So why aren't the media discussing it? Isn't that a fair question?

@GoodwinMJ ...that alone tells us all we need to know. You will sit there now knowing none of this will happen and then come back and cry about being ignored by the "MSM/establisment" etc. Feel free to discuss this point.

REPORTER: 🇮🇱🇱🇧 When will you stop firing missiles at the Lebanese civilian infrastructure? ISRAELI AMBASSADOR : Israelis don't wake up in the morning and look to fire missiles across the border. The missiles are being fired at our civilians. That will be put a stop to. We will not allow a terror organization to continually fire missiles into our population centers. That has to be understood by anybody asking such a question. The Lebanese understand that. I hope the media will as well.

@joehas She's right. I think it's been obvious for some time that Ireland suffers a resource curse. Instead of oil, we have the unearned skimmings of American capitalism.

“Ireland is what I have come to call a premature state: a country where wealth, sovereignty, and EU membership arrived before the institutional architecture required to make use of them was built.” “National prosperity is created, not inherited," as famously wrote Michael Porter in “The Competitive Advantage of Nations “Ireland’s prosperity is extracted nor generated” is Sinéad’s cri de coeur.
Sinéad O’Sullivan@SineadOS1

The enshittification of Ireland and the hollowing out of our institutions is the single largest threat to Irish civil society and prosperity. In this damning piece, I'm going into more detail about the graph I posted yesterday: why it's happening in Ireland, why the way we're thinking about the protests is entirely wrong, and what this means for our collective governance. But it would create surplus electricity with no value on sunny summer days that will destabilise the grid and nothing at all on cold winter evenings when demand is highest.
Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature

There are pretty much countless large parking lots for cars, and installing solar panels over them would generate half the electricity we use. Not only would this be an efficient use of land, but it would also help keep the cars cooler while parked.

@avandyc @7Kiwi Countries with cheap energy have governments that promote this; through aggressive measures to increase supply; and by ensuring that they don't tax it too much. Left-Wing governments tend to have an extractive approach to energy resources. Green politics is an alibi for this.
