@GregoryKal42698 @hammerito I raced in ASICS metaspeed sky without adequate speed/strength and it exaggerated my over-pronation bad enough to sprain both ankles. It’s a legit issue that isn’t brought up enough among amateur runners IMO, I had no idea until I already hurt myself

I'm having surgery on my nuts early Tuesday morning See, I want three kids someday but now I'm in my 40s I guess I spent two decades building businesses and traveling the world. I wouldn't change much of those decisions but now here I am fighting biology The official name for my surgery is a varicocele repair or microsurgical subinguinal varicocelectomy But "surgery on my nuts" is more fun to say A varicocele is basically varicose veins. Except instead of in your leg, it’s in your scrotum. And it negatively affects your fertility numbers Around 15 to 20% of men have a varicocele. Most guys only find out once they start trying or preparing to try for kids, which we hope to do soon Maybe it’s too personal. I’ve never seen anyone post about getting this surgery on my feed before But maybe me posting this will encourage other guys to ask questions about their own reproductive health at their next physical And to remember that men have a biological clock for optimal fertility too So yeah. Tomorrow I'm getting surgery on my nuts Because sometimes being a good future dad means facing the things that scare you the most Even if it's a scalpel near your family jewels

Today my oldest son turns 36. I sent him a gift, left him a voicemail and texted him. But I won’t be hearing back from him - not even an acknowledgment that he received his present. Why? Because he hasn’t spoken to my husband or I in seven months because we voted for Trump. I miss him and hope that someday he will come around and realize the damage he is doing to our family by acting this way. My breaking heart is a continual reminder. 💔 I know many of you have similar stories and I pray that your family members come around as well. I’m not asking him to change his politics, but you can’t let it come between family.
