@movementcoachkm @Damien_Coleman @CBolge An inability to control training intensity is a major issue in my experience. For many running is simply too intense. need to start by walking and might be better off making this the bulk of their training volume initially. Especially if excess weight is an issue.

Distance running is only suited to a very small population of north Western Europeans.
May be argued the training is so bad that while you are running the marathon for Cancer research, you are in fact creating a metabolic state to get it yourself

Congratulations to John Kelly and his support team on a new Wainwright round record of just over 5 days 12 hours. Breaking the previous record by nearly 12 hours. His family ran in with him and a large crowd in Keswick cheered him in.
