A few evenings ago, I went to the beach to sit. While I was there, I gave a guy 1,000 Naira to buy water for me. When he returned, he gave me the water and 700 Naira change. I was so moved by how appreciative he was when I gave the 700 back to him. Because of that gratitude, I later sent him 20,000 Naira and he was almost in tears. Not long after, my phone went off and he suggested he would look for a power bank for me. He ran around, found one, came back, and I gifted him another 50k because of how appreciative he was.

A few days ago, I posted a video of a daughter and her mother where her mother said, "she had been managing their father." It was a hilarious video. But it was obvious that the woman had little or no formal education. Did you see her house? Did you see her daughter? Do they look poor? Meaning their father (her husband) did not say because his wife could not speak good English, then she didn't deserve to be his wife or mother of their 7 children (one is late). A few weeks ago, I had said that a woman doesn't have to be formally educated before she can be considered good enough to be a wife and mother. While formal education is good, it may never be a criterion for a woman to become a wife. Educating and raising a woman are two different things. If you educate a woman but she lacks good parental upbringing, it will affect her ability to become a good wife and a mother. If you are unfortunately unable to educate a woman to the fullest, but her upbringing is good, you'd be raising a potential good wife and mother. Many of us can testify to this from our different homes. End.
