In Ohio, we have 11 rural hospitals currently on the verge of collapse, moms who have to drive up to an hour to give birth, and millions of Ohioans dropping their healthcare coverage because they just can’t afford it. As a preventive medicine and public health doctor, I know the devastating effects these circumstances can have on our communities, our health outcomes, and Ohioans’ ability to reach their full potential. When I’m governor, Ohio will once again have the best health outcomes in the country.

Look at the major building projects in any big Ohio city the last 10 years - they are marked by construction cranes. Almost all of them are healthcare facilities. Do not tell us there are hospitals on verge of collapse. Even rural hospitals are healthy and benefit from disproportionate Medicare reimbursement for Critical Access.
