— Mvemba Phezo Dizolele @MvembaDizolele

All medical professionals should watch it, and decide for themselves what to do next. NB this documentary - that BBC refused to air - was produced during the first year of the genocide. Since then, Israel has destroyed most of what you see (being still Gaza) in the documentary.

This is the film they didn't want you to see, the film that the BBC refused to air. Watch 'Gaza: Doctors Under Attack' NOW at gazadoctors.film.

Ethnic identities have remained so rigidly fixed and unquestioningly propagated by Kenya’s academic elite. Academics have treated ethnicity as natural, rather than human made, but there is no space to discuss this intellectual laxity because ethnicity has become so entwined with merit, decolonizing narratives, and squabbles over who should take the credit for Kenya’s independence. It was because of these rigid demarcations of ethnicity that Kenyans still struggle to develop other forms of political solidarity besides ethnicity. If the lesson of the Holocaust had truly been absorbed, States -especially those historically responsible for it- would prevent injustice, instead of championing double standards, selective outrage and racialised inconsistency in the face of atrocities. zeteo.com/p/misan-harrim…

78 years ago, 800,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes. Britain made it possible. Today, Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Britain made it possible. 78 years of the Nakba - and 78 years of British complicity in crimes against the Palestinian people.

@OfficialSASSA Durban Local Office | Happening now: A SASSA beneficiary shares her experience of returning to the SASSA office for the third time. She explains that on her first visit she was told the system was down, and on her second visit she was told that her documents were outstanding and advised on what to bring. Today, she arrived as early as 5am and is still standing in the queue without receiving assistance. She explains that despite waiting for hours, she has not yet been helped. She highlights the ongoing cost of travelling back and forth to the SASSA office without being assisted, explaining that she struggles to afford transport. She says that although she always makes a plan to get money to travel, she often leaves without being helped. #BlackSash #SASSA #SocialGrants #GrantAccess #GrantQueues #BeneficiaryVoices #SocialProtection #DignityAndAccess #GrantPayments #PublicServices #Durban #KZ

The #Nakba was never a moment frozen in history—it is a continuing reality of killing, displacement, siege, occupation, & exile. But memory does not die. Keys are still kept. Names are still remembered. And a people who carry their homeland in their hearts will never disappear.

Israeli settler founder calls for expelling Lebanese, annexing south Lebanon —— Uri Tzafon founder Anna Sloutskin told AFP on 14 May that the Israeli settler movement wants to use the displacement of Lebanese civilians to push Israel’s border north and permanently settle south Lebanon. “The idea is that most of the population flees, we move the border, and we do not let that population return, and it remains a part of the State of Israel by declaration,” she said. Sloutskin said the Israeli army campaign as the opening stage of that project. “What the IDF is doing right now is the first stage,” she said. “The IDF goes in, conquers, and clears. And afterwards we must not withdraw, but settle.”
