What would you name the hockey team if metro Atlanta is granted another team? (I've done this fun exercise years ago when there were rumblings of people trying to help get the #NHL back to the Atlanta area, so it's time to revisit)

Thank you, Peace Baptist Church,@DekalbSout51202, & Rockbridge Coalition - for the invitation & engagement during this evening’s town hall event on our @DeKalbSchools Student Assignment Project: Great turnout, thought-provoking questions, co-constructing solutions.

@SoccerwithDoug Great recap and perspective. Quite the opposite of the AI rehashing of stats in the local fish wrapper this a.m. @ajc

Today @DeKalbSchools Board of Education members Gevertz, Pierce, Ziffer, & Hogan joined me & Chiefs Hofstetter & Harvey - as we toured DeKalb County along our way to the Capitol to meet with our local delegation. Thank you, Bus Driver Mr. Jones, for our safe journey & kindness!

I was enthralled with my visit with Chamblee High School’s Student Government Association leaders. I learned from their insights, perspectives, and advocacy. It was also great to catch up with Principal Mrs. Barnes & some other ol’ teacher pals! Go, Bulldogs! @DeKalbSchools

❗️❄️SATURDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE: Based on some shifts in most of this morning's computer models, I am adjusting the snow forecast north and westward to include the southside of Metro Atlanta. We're talking mainly south of I-20 and west of I-85. At a minimum, I think we see flurries flying in places like Spalding, Butts, Henry, and Newton Counties, for example, early tomorrow morning. A reminder that 'less than 1"' means that it could snow and nothing sticks. There's still a degree of uncertainty on how far north all of this comes, but the trend this morning has been further north. Thus, the change. I've also added a 1-3" range in Central Georgia, including parts of Putnam, Monroe, Jones, and Baldwin Counties. Also worth noting, I'm still not 100% on this forecast, but feel a lot better about it than I did yesterday.

#AFXC had a strong return to the NCAA Championships in 2025, as the men picked up a top-20 finish in the team standings, Jayden Nats earned a top-50 individual placement, and both Falcons in the women's race placed within the top half of the field! goairforcefalcons.com/news/2025/11/2…

The Edina Hornets football team just won their first Minnesota state championship since 1978 with the Chicago Blackhawks’ first-round draft pick playing his senior year at QB, and the hockey team’s goalie scoring 6 TDs in the title game. Play sports. Have fun. Nothing like it.
