@SportmphMark But these 'faults' were pointed out 2 years ago after initial draft was issued. As usual, what interaction with stakeholders and simulator testing been carried out, by FIA to tweak the systems to true racing. I thought so!!

Before modern washers, laundry ran on pure mechanics. A 1930s Easy Washer used an oscillating agitator to churn clothes clean Laundry used to be one of the most time consuming chores in the home. Early electric washers like the Easy washing machine helped change that by using a powered agitator to move clothes through water and soap instead of relying on hand scrubbing. Inside the tub, a mechanical agitator moves back and forth rather than spinning continuously. The three cup shaped plungers push water through the laundry with each oscillation, forcing soap and water through the fabric to loosen dirt and grime. Designs like this were a major step toward modern automatic washers. By letting the machine create the scrubbing motion, households could wash larger loads of clothing with far less manual effort than traditional washboards or hand washing. @jwsanders2011 @sunriseblade @NoWayWoke The fuse is rated for the flex is protecting. The plug use to be supplied with 13amp or 3amp If you had a fault on a 0.5mm flex the 13amp would probably pop after it caught fire.

@OnDisasters I still like the story that the McClaren Baby Buggy was designed by a Boeing landing gear engineer and not as a Formula 1 spin off.

Considering that Nigel Mansell was capable of injuring himself just getting out of bed, the fact this stunt ended safely, braking on grass, by water, with parked cars and people all over the place is truly miraculous.

@a30aew @OnDisasters Bristol Scou is mentioned as a first composite aircraft in 1916. Well know, initially for wing structural issues is the German Albatros D.III with smooth semi-monquoc in 1917. Must have been others before DH88 Comet.

@pdfbt40 @OnDisasters Laminated plywood fuselage I believe. Sandwich construction was rarely employed in fuselage structures but for the F-111 & XB-70A (skin panels - metal core & facings, welded on XB-70A) and Beech Starship (carbon fibre fuselage barrel).

@ConnorJHeath Original Saab was a 3 cylinder 2 Stroke. I'm sure I remember a Triumph I4 engine with a transaxle in front. I had to straighten the selector shaft !!

Today I learnt that if it wasn’t for the fuel crisis, instead of the 99 turbo we would’ve ended up with a Saab 99 with a 3 litre Triumph stag V8.

@OnDisasters But as a stretch, rearward GoG DC10, I'd think the structural/fatigue strength was pretty well proven as with major redesign of doors, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, for true redundancy.

MD-11 stall test. Given the size of the tail structure - not mentioning it has a WHOLE ENGINE IN IT! - the fact it shakes and rattles like that - but it won´t break - is a testament to its engineering

My first ever ride on track was in, I think, 1980 at the then Honda sponsored Brands Hatch Racing School. I remember an old guy in black leathers turning up with a grey Motorcycle and doing some incredibly quick and smooth laps while we were out on our sessions. It was Surtees running in his Vincent Grey Flash after a major rebuild…

Someone in the know has just reminded me that Qatar hosting F1 and MotoGP back to back (let alone simultaneously) might well be impossible given that there needs to be significant alterations to kerbs and gravel traps
