@ProfIanMasters @ZienkiewiczCtr I recall it was around 2001/2002 that the Sun machines were replaced with SGI O2 workstations. I liked the SGIs, but only used the new ones briefly. By 2006 when I came back from being in Switzerland they too had been replaced with PCs.

@SamRolland I was in many different offices over the years in the Talbot building. I think this particular picture was taken in an office opposite the photocopy room that used to be a research office in the late 90s.

Just found this old picture of me. 25 years of doing computational science and engineering research on UNIX/LINUX based operating systems and still going... Here's me 1998 using an SGI Indy workstation!
