No one ever sees my posts and I'm sure this will get zero interaction but I had to euthanize my 12 year old cat that I'd had since she was 3 weeks old. I have an actual pain in my chest that won't go away. I'll love you forever, Arya. I miss you so much.

Losing them is devastating. They take a piece of our soul with them, but it’s only for safe-keeping until we meet again. No words can help you right now, I know that very well. Just know this: someday you’ll be able to celebrate her life more than you mourn her death right now. She’s in Heaven watching over you and wants you to be ok…but I fully understand you can’t be for quite some time. The day will come when you think of her and smile rather than cry. I promise. I’m sure her wings are beautiful.
