Your why might include all of this “we are relentless with our kit expectations because pupils deserve activity time”. Beware of packing too much in teachers need headspace on day 1

@carefreecfc03 Partly the reason I’ve asked! The usual! Results. Plan going forwards. SOWs reminder. Kit policy. Extra curricular timetable. Class lists, timetable issues. All important but repetitive. Seen a few talk about their “why” … perhaps I’ll add that in!

Dear Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Lid, Aldi, Waitrose, Morrisons, and all other stores that have self checkout. You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now. The lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone. I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already 🛒 filled my cart 🛒 emptied my cart 🛒 scanned the items 🛒refilled my cart and so I just skipped the exit line and left. I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me " as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store. You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be. I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you. • If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's vour problem not mine. • Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities. YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING. YOU DON'T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU. Signed ....All of us These are jobs that are needed to have for young and old

@Nikki__Sullivan @ollie_lovell @PepsMccrea I am in the process of setting this up for my school but have gone for more of a here and video approach and it’s a slog! When I see good practice I arrange to go back and film. This sounds much better. Would love to pick your brains about logistics!

@ollie_lovell @PepsMccrea ... We used some video clips in our most recent training day, showing our staff with our students (because there are some great examples on a range of platforms that are also useful!) and the feedback was great. E.g. a clip showing '3:30:30'. We want a larger bank to draw from.

First full day of filming tomorrow as we look to continue to build our bank of lesson footage for CPD 🥳 And then you listen to @ollie_lovell talking with @PepsMccrea on the way home...
