Traditional banking in Portugal is so bad that Revolut is about to become the largest bank in the country. This is not surprising at all and very welcome.
Maybe it will be a wake up call for existing players

Revolut has surpassed 2.3M customers in Portugal🇵🇹 and expects to reach 2.5M by the end of the year. In 2025, customer growth was 35%, above the EU average of 30%. Deposits from Portuguese customers grew by 64%. Revolut expect to become the largest bank in Portugal by overtaking Caixa Geral de Depósitos. In the near future, Revolut expects to offer more credit, insurance and investment products in Portugal, but no timeline for mortgages. Also, plans include more products for businesses. There were many discussions and articles about the importance of using your context window effectively. Everyone was saying that after hitting ~50% you start to have worse results or enter the “dumb” zone.However, we now have a 1M context window with Opus and Claude code, so is this still as important as before? What do you think, @bcherny?

We’ve identified industrial-scale distillation attacks on our models by DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and MiniMax. These labs created over 24,000 fraudulent accounts and generated over 16 million exchanges with Claude, extracting its capabilities to train and improve their own models.

Building and reviewing code with the same model sounds to me like merging a PR opened and approved by ourselves 😅. Maybe not if you have different harnesses or prompts. Anyway, I use Opus 4.6 to code and GPT-Codex 5.3 to review! Thanks @GitHubCopilot 🙂
