👥Systematic meta-analysis of 10 RCTs (>22,000 pts - 51.2% w/T2DM) to determine the impact of SGLT2i in pts w/ recent or previous MI. 🗓️Mean age 62 yrs; median FU was 21 months. Main findings: 💥HF hospitalization rates were ⬇️in pts on SGLT2i compared with placebo (RR 0.77; 95% CI 0.69, 0.85; p<0.001). 💥These benefits of SGLT2i were consistent regardless of the timing of the last MI. 💥No statistically significant difference in all-cause mortality was observed between the groups (RR 0.88; 95% CI 0.78, 1.00; p=0.058). 🚨 Exciting news! Our meta-analysis on SGLT2i in MI patients has been accepted for publication in Cardiovascular Diabetology! 🔎 Key findings: ✅ SGLT2i reduced MACE events & heart failure hospitalizations ✅ Supports broader use post-MI Grateful to my co-authors & mentors!🙌

This Thanksgiving, let’s celebrate the friendships and connections that make the Meta Analysis Academy so special. Share a memory or moment from the community that you’re grateful for. Let’s honor the spirit of gratitude together!

Leaving Chicago with amazing news: just found out another paper has been accepted for publication! Grateful for this trip, and it couldn’t have ended on a better note. I’ll share more about the paper soon! #MedX #MedTwitter
