Seeing this video circulate again, I wanted to give some reasoning to why it isn't out. Steam Frame shifted our plans in a big way for 2026, and we wanted to allocate our engineers (myself included) differently as soon as it was announced. (1/2)

@arachn8sGrip @moonlitbqt This reply isn't productive at all. Fact of the matter is that people do identify as both bi lesbian and bi gay. Regardless of if you think that's valid, my point is simply that those people exist, and the 'pattern' you see is just a pattern of what gets more attention.

@arachn8sGrip @moonlitbqt it's because people spotlight lesbian identities and lesbian controversy. There very much are bisexual gays, but nobody cares because for some reason (probably misogyny) everyone only wants to talk about issues revolving around lesbians.

Some in the comments already posted a great example, which is the way that black men are treated. They don't get treated the same way as white men nor black women.

@deathdevotions @PlutoQueer @Mrsss_Midnight @fireflypoppies And I don't want to erase culture either. We need to remember our history, and fight to right and wrongs done to any group of people, but my hope is that one day in the future, these labels will be archaic and seen as unnecessary.

It's intentional that many queer people have 'contradictory' identities. It's to fracture the system that we believe shouldn't exist.

If we eventually stop doing that, then we just treat each other as equals.

Within a society where we DO label our gender and sexuality, it's necessary that we retain the label. The problem as a whole was labeling sexuality and gender in the first place was done as a way to other women + queer ppl
