I occasionally make jokes that you probably won't understand.

@Novack_ @BoilingSteam The effort to support linux is not that high.
Multiple very successful devs, that I'm sure you know of, owe their success, at least partly, to zealous linux users promoting their games to people.
English

@BoilingSteam I wonder... Are native linux builds are worth it for indie studios? With Wine/Proton working so well and the effort to support linux being so high, it may look like devs can have the cake and eat it too.

@BitDylan8275 @ConcernedApe That would be an amazing mechanic.
English

@ConcernedApe everyone knows the only cheating Ape would add is in the egg festival, obviously. You'd be able to bring eggs from your chickens and sneakily add them to your basket during the egg hunt.

@LundukeJournal XFCE is annoyingly fat.
There has to bea leaner option.
English

Want the best modern version of Windows possible?
- Take Devuan Linux (Debian without Systemd bloat).
- Use XFCE on top of XLibre.
- Add Chicago95 (to make it look like Windows 95).
- Install the latest versions of Wine (so you can run all Windows software from Win 3.1 to present) and Steam (maximum game compatibility).
It looks like Windows. It runs Windows software. But it’s better in every possible way.
It even has better compatibility with Windows software than what Windows 11 provides (seriously).
Better speed. Significantly lower RAM usage. Modern hardware support. A better user interface than Windows 11.

@metamundanity @Aarvoll_ @ShayUnleashed I love how the correct answer to the question is always in a reply somewhere.
Fucking internet, man.
English

@Aarvoll_ @ShayUnleashed The permanency of the regulation and lack of transgression thereof is pretty telling though. Unless the traveling instantiates in a different universe-instance in the many-worlds

@esrtweet @vxunderground A vibe-coded rust-filled kernel?
Nah.

@whatisnuclear Now get the NRC to give us pebble bed home basement reactors.

I've been obsessed with the vast and untapped potential of civilian nuclear power at sea forever. I'm now the Chief Nuclear Officer at an exciting new company bringing nuclear power to maritime applications. There's much to do, so I'm looking for passionate and highly-skilled people who want to embark on this journey with me. Hit me up if you or someone you know may be interested. We need a Nuclear Licensing expert first, but will have many more openings in the pipeline.
*The company is currently operating in stealth mode

@TXGunRights This is why I don't own any guns.
You can check the registry.
English

For years, gun owners were told the same thing: “There is no federal gun registry.”
Now, even members of the U.S. Senate are being forced to confront a different reality.

@esrtweet You never know when you'll spot dinner on the ridge line.
English

Would somebody who owns one please explain the category "truck gun" to me?
Don't get me wrong, I'm completely in favor of people being as heavily armed as they want to be. I just don't understand the threat model that leads to people having a specific gun that they specifically carry in their truck. I mean, as opposed to on their person.
What do you use a truck gun for? Is there some epidemic of backroad banditry that needs to be suppressed? Are people driving with one hand and potting varmints with the other? What's actually going on here?
Inquiring minds want to know.

@YouTube The only time I experience interruptions is when your shitty website has too much fucking javascript bullshit going on inside it.
My internet's fine, your website is just fucked. Even when I had Google Fiber you'd whine about how it's all so dreadfully slow.

@RepThomasMassie @RepRalphNorman Nobody free begs anyone to exercise constitutional rights. We shoot people who try and prevent us from exercising them. They're called tyrants, by the way. We have a long tradition of shooting tyrants in this country.
English

No one should have to beg the government to exercise a constitutionally protected right anywhere in the country.
Thank you @RepRalphNorman for cosponsoring HR 645, the National Constitutional Carry Act.

Maybe The Right doesn’t control The House, Senate and Presidency.

Kevin Sorbo@ksorbs
The right controls the House, the Senate, and the Presidency How is it that we can’t pass a single bill that Americans actually want.

The answer, it turns out, was yes.
If you run MidnightBSD, stop it.

@beerundbacon CIA has been dumping misinfo to AP for many decades.
Podcasters are just new media.
English

Laura Loomer admits CIA is leaking classified information to podcasters…except it’s to her.
Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer
SCOOP: CIA source tells me the CIA has hard evidence that Turkey, and more specifically the Erdogan @RTErdogan administration, has specifically directed spending for podcasters to undermine the Trump administration’s Middle East agenda. The CIA has evidence of this Turkish funding going to at least one female podcaster and at least one male podcaster. Turkey is the largest financier of the Muslim Brotherhood.
