@pelorat

I left Enterprise IT and became a diet coach. 703 clients coached since March 2012, including 20 doctors. Your loss is my gain 😈[email protected]

Like every diet fad before, keto too will become unfashionable because it is not being done in an informed and scientific way.

Delhi help: Where do I go to recover a (possibly) corrupted file from an iPhone that refuses to show up on a Mac/PC? [I'm guessing the answer is Nehru Place. But is there a specific shop?]

One of my biggest ongoing challenges in 10 years of being a diet coach has been to get my vegetarian clients adequate protein. Given our population, we should easily be comparable to China in egg production. Unfortunately for billions of Indians however, while there are many protein-deficient countries, we are the only protein phobic one. If the deficiency in highly bioavailable protein were easily correctable using dal / lentils, that would be a relief but unfortunately, it is not.

Learning to pick yourself back up after real life interferes and resume working towards your goal is the heart of a sustainable diet.

I am used to online trolling and abuse. Over the years I have become rather thick-skinned. But when 'friends' and allies turn into cyber-bullies, it is somewhat disconcerting. Especially when you identify as 'liberal' and unwilling to accept differences of opinion. #twitterblues

@temporal3 Did a 4 month road trip in the states (28 states) in '19. What a beautiful country. If doing one in the states, should always drive west to east to keep the sun out of your eyes.

@wolfmomz I do road trips for fun. My fundae: 1) Don't drive at night 2) Automatic 3) No person should drive more than 5h/d 4) Rubber chappals are best shoes for driving 5) Cooler with ice for snacks / drinks 6) Early starts best, aim to get most of the driving done by 1600. 7) Have fun

@TweetinderKaul Ronaldinho's exploits off-pitch seem wilder than on it, if that's even possible. I guess he really _can_ play both sides

@AgBioWorld Given that the snowfall in Kochi and Goa is quite mild, I am not sure how they would have communicated this to the natives and how they would have transmitted that knowledge to the Hindu Kush mountains.

@pelorat But the Andeans who first domesticated potatoes 🥔 would have surely invented it thousands of years ago, and Portuguese introduced it to us along with the spuds

@mtracey @Speed_Squad_ Naomi Wolf made a huge error in 2019 when she said that judges had sentenced people to death for homosexuality when "death recorded" actually meant that judges had *declined* to sentence them to death. The publisher cancelled the book. bbc.com/news/entertain…

Observing that a media figure who's held out as a leading public authority on a contentious political/moral/policy issue actually turns out to have a spectacularly erroneous understanding of core elements of that issue is not "pedantic" -- it's applying basic evaluative standards
