@TackleBoxRon No idea, but if MM covers those shorts at the same time they start spec-ing long again, it might be reminiscent of the rally seen last year. Set up is good, but SoH has to open... Too much uncertainty to start getting too ahead if it right now imo...

@PicturesFoIder Maybe this is an attempt to limit bots? I have a small account, am not trying to monetize, and will never pay for verified. Won't affect the casual user like me one iota 🤷 50 posts a day? Who has the time lol

@RoseAlberta1 You could see the dust clouds in Winnipeg near where I am. Thought to myself, so this is what it looked like in the '30s. Apocalyptic looking. Cloudbursts picked up the dust and it 'rained' mud. Wild stuff.

As I suspected China has now renewed 100’s of US beef plant import licenses. Unfortunately most of the big US slaughterhouses are still held up over findings of Racto and MGA. Progress but not done.

China renews, then halts licenses for hundreds of US beef exporters amid Trump-Xi summit Chinese customs appeared to have halted export clearances for hundreds of U.S. beef plants on Thursday, hours after Reuters reported the long-awaited licenses had been approved amid ‌a summit between the U.S. and Chinese presidents in Beijing. More than 400 U.S. beef plants lost export eligibility over the past year as Beijing's permissions, granted between March 2020 and April 2021, lapsed without the customary renewal, accounting for roughly 65% of the once-registered facilities. Their registration status, which had been listed as "effective" earlier on Thursday, later reverted to "expired," the customs website showed. (Reuters)

So I put together a 'yield' estimate i.e. lbs of pork produced per hog slaughtered. It's simply total weekly pork production divided by weekly kill. Source is USDA, format mine, errors unintentional but also mine if present. Way higher than l/y if accurate

This is a terrible deal for Alberta >> Carney to visit Calgary on Friday to announce industrial carbon pricing deal Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will visit Calgary on Friday to announce details of a new deal with Alberta on industrial carbon pricing. Canada and its main oil-producing province of Alberta are on the cusp of a deal to increase the effective credit cost in the province's industrial carbon market to C$130 a metric ton by 2040. Alberta froze its headline industrial carbon price in May 2025. Credits in its market currently trade between C$20 and C$40 a metric ton, which experts say is too low to give polluters an incentive to invest in emissions reduction technology. The deal will see Alberta's headline price on carbon increase to $100 per metric ton next year compared to the existing $95 a ton, rise to $130 a ton in 2036 and then escalate by 1.5% per year starting in 2036.
