I met Alex on the Bernie campaign in 2016. She had dropped out of college and left her entire life behind in California to join the political revolution. When Bernie lost, most people on the campaign went on to find safer jobs (no shade - finding work in the campaign world is hard!), but Alexandra was a true believer that we could still do the political revolution. She took a huge risk to do Brand New Congress and Justice Democrats with a small group of us - a completely crazy idea at the time. Primarying corporate Democrats was taboo and a surefire way to make sure you never got hired by normie Democratic campaigns again. Since then, she has become a true leader of the political revolution. Time and time again, she has led Justice Democrats to do work and take risks that no one else was willing to take. And she has done it all with kindness and integrity. I know how much of herself she's poured into this work. Whoever takes over Justice Democrats has big shoes to fill. Congrats, Alex, on an incredible run and completely changing the landscape of the Democratic Party.
